  1. ETA 2472? There really was a boom on these divers watches in the 60's early 70's, so many niche brands and this is a new one to me. Nice dial, nice watch!
  2. I went a similar route about a year back. Gave up mechanical watches in favour of a Garmin Fenix 3 and now Fenix 5 activity/sports/smart gps tracking watch. Only put a mechanical watch on these days when I go for a night out. In fact. the Fenix 5 is the only watch I have ever worn 24hrs a day. Tracks sleep, HR, steps & stairs climbed. Coupled with tracking my Mountain Biking & Swimming & cycle commutes, it gives me a very good insight to how healthy I am.
  3. Wu-Tang Clan - Tearz https://youtu.be/kPXy-yHkULw How do you embed on this platform?
  4. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/BANDS-AND-BRACELETS-FOR-ROLEX-WATCH?_rdc=1 His eBay offerings are sterile. Send him a message to have a item branded.
  5. Gen. The movement is a ETA 2892 with a Dubois Depraz chronograph module. Here's a video of a Bentley being serviced. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5M4WFJ359c
  6. $2000 for a 5500 Explorer kind of give's the game away
  7. What's the problem with the Powermatic 80? All of the ETA 2824 models are high beat, either 28,800 or 36,000
  8. ETA 2824-2 is a high beat movement 28,800 Yes it is a direct swap. Best movement for the swap is a Tissot Powermatic 80 movement. This is a low beat 21,000 modified 2824. There is another movement you can use which comes from the Swatch Irony range of watches but I think there is an issue with dial fitting you have to overcome?
  9. I just typed "perfect clones" into the search box at the top and the very first result gives me the website address. You need to put just a tiny amount of time and effort in.
  10. Good stuff To remove the crystal you have to lift the retaining ring. I used a thin, sharp blade (Stanley) gradually working it underneath the retaining ring between the case. Take it slow and rotate it just edging it up gradually until the retaining ring pops off. Then you can just work the crystal off the case with the blade or press it out with your thumb (if you have the movement removed)
  11. Crystal http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rolex-Crystal-Reference-25-116-116-NEW-CLARK-/232312380753 The bezel should have a flat friction ring, if you do not have that (can't see it in your pictures) then this is what you need http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bezel-Flat-Friction-Washer-1675-16750-16753-16758-For-Rolex-/232280989788 The bezel assembly should be in 3 parts, bezel ring, friction washer and retaining ring that presses over the crystal. I see you have the retaining ring and bezel so maybe need the friction ring? Good luck, I love my 1675
  12. Not seen Asian 7750's being sold this cheap before? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Clone7750-53-Automatic-for-Daytona-Chronograph-MVT-28800-Noob-Shanghai-Seagull-/172544311920 Go get em
  13. I like this...A lot! https://www.ingersoll1892.com/media/downloadable/scovill-bronze-125-year-press-release.pdf No mention of the movement. Reasonably priced but with only 125 being made it will be difficult to get one
  14. Another option which I have used in the past is to get a cheap set of pin pin vices like these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4PC-Pin-Vice-Drill-Chuck-Set-Jewellery-Making-Watch-Repair-Model-Craft-1-2-3-4mm-/301312911000?hash=item4627a62698:g:p34AAOSwQItUFAVf Mount the screw in the pin vice and the pin vice in a drill and then turn down the head with a small file or wet & dry paper.
  15. I use these http://www.helenarou.com/10-mounting-screw-clamp-for-eta-2824-2836-102824283664976498.html Head diameter on mine are 2.2mm
  16. Many thanks for the Daytona story. I have the Submariner one, it's a cool read
  17. Don't know what to make of this one? I have a Tudor 7962 in for service and was curious to find out some info on it but it's thrown up more questions than answers! So, the case and back is engraved 7962. Google tells me this should be an Oysterdate, which it is not. The movement is a Tudor 1156 manual wind, no problem there. Now this dial, resembles the characteristics of a Ranger dial. It's not a ranger though. Lots of weird marking on the back of it? Any opinions?
  18. Just been watching the assembly videos of this movement. I've done plenty of 7750's but this looks like a whole new world of pain! Good luck!
  19. I have done this build with no problems. You're definitely not putting a ring between dial and movement as in that ring sitting on the dial in your last photo? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Personally, I wouldn't but one. But many people do and seem to be happy with them. There is a lot of information to read up on regarding the seconds @ 12 AP's. The most recent information is the most relevant
  21. Welcome Yes that is a secs @ 12 movement. Hours @ 6 30 minute counter @ 9
  22. Well that isn't anything like the response I received when I messaged him? I looked at his history, items he is/has been selling and thought he may have been a victim. He told me that 'he' took down the listing and asked how to tell it was fake. He thanked me and I haven't seen the Panerai listed agin.
  23. 100% rep. As said, no Y Incabloc. Swan regulator shape where the screws are is another give away and look at the micro adjuster screw, it's too short, it's screwed all the way in and the regulator arm is only half way across its adjustment range. Repalicious!!
