  2. Guys, don't know if anyone can help me here but I am travelling to Disney, Orlando end of August and have really got my heart set on the new Tudor Black Bay Bronze. The authorised dealer there is Mayors Jewellers. They have 2 boutiques. I have tried there web page contact, twitter & Facebook but have not received a reply about availability or pre-order. Now I know this alone would put most buyers off, but I wold like to try it on before buying as I have a little 6 1/2" wrist. Is there anyone in the area who would mind giving them a call for me and ask if it will be available etc. please? Cheers.
  3. Incase anyone is interested, if you want to do the manual wind conversion and make it look neat. You can install the manual wind (7765) bridge. This bridge will replace the auto wind bridge with a nice flat bridge. Cousins part no: Chronograph Wheel Bridge ( 8501 ), Valjoux 7765Product Code: VAL77658501 Picture...
  4. My supplier of ETA parts laughed when I asked him if they were having any problems getting parts. Make of that what you wish, I have had no problems. I blame eBay for the inflation of Rolex parts. If you talk to the 'right' people, you can get parts at reasonable prices.
  5. With the screw head removed like that, there shouldn't be any pressure to hold the broken piece in tight. It should turn with very little pressure. If you can sharpen a needle to a very fine point you may be able to slowly work the screw out.
  6. I really like the bronze, I really like the black bay. I think I may have finally found a reason to go gen I have to try it on first as I have a skinny wrist and usually wear 36-40mm Great watch.
  7. Keeping my eye open for the diver. Great stuff!

  12. Nice watch. No idea on value but here will help http://www.onthedash.com I'm guessing at a Valjoux V72C movement? Is it my eyes or is the minute hand lying underneath the 9 o'clock subdial hand? Does it work?
  13. Nice! Here's mine. Pegwood[emoji6] Sent from my iBend 6
  14. Excellent! Just recently I have watched a couple of great surfing events, the Volcom Pipe Pro was awesome! Kelly Slater is a surfing God
  15. First up, does the movement go into hand setting position ok? does the date change over ok when the time passes 12pm? Does this movement have "quick set" date change? If so is it working ok, does the date change over crisply? if all these functions are ok, then take it to a decent watchmaker who has a Quartz testing machine. there are a series of 3 or 4 easy tests that will determine what is wrong with the movement. with this information you can start the hard part of sourcing the replacement part/s. Join watch forums, introduce yourself, be polite and explain in a sympathetic manner what the watch is, why you want to repair it, what you have done so far to repair it and lastly...what you require. I have just read a blog "RaulHorology" he repaired one of these. Make contact, but above all do not steam in with "can you sell me the part I require" with a bit of patience and the correct approach, you may get it running. good luck.
  16. What movement? As that does not look like a 7750 stem which most of the Hublots use?
  17. I need a new balance assembly for a Tudor 2462. Can anyone tell me if the ETA 2452 is the same calibre & so the same balance assembly?
  18. Cheers. Is a Tropic a crystal without magnifier? (cyclops) Would this be the one? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Crystal-Ref-25-112-112-For-Rolex-CLARK-crystals-/251715603402
  19. Guys I need to a get a gen or generic crystal for a Tudor 7966. Is there anywhere there than Otto's that you know of? Preferably UK or Europe. Is there a particular letter/number assignment to it like the Rolex's? Cheers
  20. That's an excellent result, congratulations & well done you!
  21. Apart from the fact it is an abomination, isn't the Swiss T 25 dial and the small GMT hand a mismatch? Early GMT hand with a later dial.
