Apologies, last time I contacted him was through his website. The email address I posted was advertised on his website, it wasn’t personal? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Decent bands at decent prices. Choose your band and send him a message to get it with the Rolex logo. Think he charged 5-6 dollars extra for the logo clasp addition.
For this type of work I use Micromesh in various grades, 1.2k through to 12k, stuck (contact adhesive) to flat and formed pieces of wood.
Small sheets of Micromesh in graduated bundles are available on eBay...brilliant stuff
Probably because after they had done their 'work' on it, it would lose the vast majority of its value!
"Yeah, we'll put a service dial on it, lovely new shiny bezel insert. Hell, we'll even put some shiny new hands on it" Then we'll polish all those horrible scratches out!
UK TV program, The Hairy Bikers Mediterranean Adventure.
They both wear Rolex's. One is a Sub LV the other wears a Daytona. Is it a vintage Daytona or a Zenith Daytona, anyone know?
That movement holder should be fine with 28-- series movement.
How/what is the movement pivoting on?

Yes, first thing is remove the oscillating weight.
Couple of thoughts...
I wouldn't leave blu-tack on the date wheel overlay. It contains oil that could eventually stain the over lay.
Instead of superglue, use a 5 minute epoxy. It will give you a bit of manipulation to line up
Circlip in the centre?
I wouldn't bother though, straight to the bin with that!
Not a DG movement neither, their movements are luxurious in comparison to that!
There's no screw holding the stem in on a 2836.
Did you manage to correct the date?
My advice is, unscrew the crown and pull the stem out. If it comes all the way out, you have an issue with the keyless works. Any decent watchmaker can sort it out.
Even if it comes all the way out, you should be able to slide it back in again.
Good luck.
