Yes, Toro is a great dealer. However, fast is subjective. I've always found him to communicate well. However, some things like postal services and customs are out of his hands so temper your expectations there.
I don't like scammers having been the victim before. I find Legend a true gent and one whom is wise. Mike is the voice of reason here, take note of what he says. Micky has my total respect; if it's okay with him........ If Toro confirms that things are 'sorted', then I'd be prepared to bite my tongue and see how you fit in. Whilst I can never see myself dealing with you as a buyer or seller I'll just say make amends and see how it goes.
I'll give the OP some new advice in light of the RWI thread. Get the fook out of Dodge before you get banned here too, there is no room for you here. I've had my share of scammers both here and on PayPal so if you've lost the watch ..... karma. Now go and find a new hobby away from here.
What is scratched; the crystal or just the AR coating? If just the coating, then polish it off with a Cape Cod as Toro suggested. This will change the reflectiveness, but should also look better without the scratches.
Factories and dealers do whatever they can to sell - this is an unlicensed at best, illegal at worst business. Try some of the smaller dealers like Toro and ask questions before you buy and you should*. get better service. *in my personal experience.
Why do you even ask when the answer is always the same: stick to the TD's. Our trusted dealers can get just about any rep watch out there. All you have to do is contact them.
Really guys? I thought that the pearl should be replaced by unobtainium glue which counter effects and neutralises any nastiness leaking out of the hole.
Shame as there are quite a few 'good' members going bad. Generally, don't use Paypal gift (just have though for £20) unless you know the member and (a) trust them and (b) can afford to lose the money if something goes wrong.
Unlikely you cross threaded the screw. As has already been said, you probably mixed up some of the screws as its bottoming out in a blind hole. Either dismantle again and find the shorter screw, or carefully file the offending one down a little until if fits. There again, I'd just go to a computer repairer and find a short screw there!
Wow, what's happening with the forum - my posts are all over the place? Fist the above was posted on another thread and now it looks like Legend said it lol.
I saw one on one of the forums a while back - maybe RWG.bz, in the M2M section and thought about it and decided against it. Looking at yours I made a mistake as that is lovely with the aged insert: before it just TOO red. Well done sir. Sorry, no idea why the above is here in you thread - I posted this on cavi's Colamariner thread! And, I can't help with your crystal question either!
+1 Well said Legend. Pete, I hope you stay around. When I was a new here you took the time to guide me with some issues I had. It's a pleasure to read your posts.
Me too. After seeing the way that some people I'd be happy to call friends treated I let my VIP membership lapse. I still use the forum; mostly for browsing the sales sections though.
