Look at our trusted dealers. They should be able to source one for you.
  2. These are reps and will have issues. If the watch is a keeper then find a local watchsmith who is rep friendly and have them install a new tube. Sending watches back to China is a no go for me - what's to say the next one won't be the same when it turns up, plus the expense and waiting time.
  3. There are several issues with these reps. The bezel insert could be realigned once you recieve it if needed. The PO clasp is clearly wrong but could be changed out if it bothers you. Other issues that are less easy to fix - the Omega logo has 'happy feet' and the sub dial hands are too short, both known issues on this watch. To be honest, once it's on your wrist you'd not notice them anyway.
  4. I always pay the PayPal fee if it's not included. On rare occasions, such as dealing with AJ as I have several times, I'm happy to use a gift payment. As ALWAYS, buy the seller first. I had a narrow escape when I first joined by buying a Seamaster Chrono, the seller wanted a gift payment I offered to pay the fees and how could he say no. He didn't sent the watch and disappeared, but not before fleecing several members with his demands for a gift payment. I was lucky and got my money back.
  5. He promised me a refund when he got paid. Then he's waiting on receiving a PayPal payment himself before he can refund me. I wonder if I should add my travel time and expenses to my bill for him? A visit is being planned with some fellow RG members ....
  6. If it's the keyless works send it to a good watchsmith. If you're in the EU SSteel is a great member who can help you.
  7. The TD did not complete the contract by failing to ship using the correct method. Therefore they should cover ANY loss you bear.
  8. Moab is as good as anybody. And well done Micky.
  9. Don't Google them. Have you really tried the links? I randomly picked Trusty - www.trusty-watch.com and it loaded fine.
  10. Sorry no, although a Seamaster of some kind would be my guess as it has a divers extension.
  11. I hope you popped the crown out as soon as it happened to stop it running. You don't want any shards in a running movement. Hope you get it fixed okay.
  12. Spend more money and get the better version. It sounds like you want the reassurance that you've bought the 'best' version available. For an extra $80 I think you'll have peace of mind.
  13. I feel left out Legend - will you be my friend too?
  14. This is why this forum is my home. Well done to all you guys.
  15. Both dealers are trusted. I've purchased from Tori and the experience was good. Both watches are the same model so just decide who you're buying from and get on with it! * That should read Toro - damn autocorrect!
  16. Time will tell, but (being the trusting optimistic soul I am) there is still a little time for Al to do the right thing.
  17. Ken you owe me 5 x LV wallets and a lounge suit. If you don't send these yesterday I'll start a PP dispute. Oh and it doesn't matter that I've not bought from you before either. Yeah, customers eh? I feel your pain.
  18. I believe that there are two or more types of tubes available - I had my gen serviced and a new crown & tube installed. The Omega watchsmith said he'd had to investigate which type mine used.
  19. Agreed. This has been unacceptable. Al has agreed to supply a new movement in one week or refund me. If neither happen I intend to visit and collect what I feel is owed.
  20. Maybe you're looking at 2 versions of the SMP 300 chrono. There is the early version and the later post 2008 version. I have both and they are great reps.
  21. Have you tried the likes of CousinsUK or Ofri?
  22. I don't see a pic, if you post one up in sure someone can help out.
  23. I have both a JLC NSD and a ROO diver (not a V7 though). The JLC wears better for me as I find all ROOs top heavy. The JLC is a great watch.
  24. +1 Al has responded of sorts. My watch is supposedly on it way to SSTEEL, so I'll reserve judgement for when it arrives. However it would do no harm for Al to do the right thing and refund people who have been messed around. He seems to be sat on the fence as to whether to be a good guy or to go full rouge.
