  1. OK silly question.. who is J&K Watch? I searched ebay and the username isnt there.
  2. Thanks guys!! I want to replace the domed clarkes T-21... too much distortion around the edge as you can see in the 3rd pic. If anyone has a beveled edge T-21 laying around I would be interested in buying it from you if the price is right. Either gen or good aftermarket but better than this domed crystal. Its the only thing I want to change. dizz
  3. WOW!! Awesome!! How do you like that t-21? Mine is a clarkes I believe, and there is a lot of distortion around the edges. Mine is the rounded edge and not the beveled one. I think I might have to search for a gen or at least something better than what I have now. dizz
  4. Its the old skool 6263 case that came with the "V23 copy movement". The 7750 in those watches came a few years later I think, so I dont know what case you have. I do know that Ubi explained that the v23 stem is higher on the case than the v72 so those are obviously different cases... If you look back a week or so there is a thread all about the different DW daytona cases and what the differences are. These days the v23 is basicly the same price as the v72. The only reason I went with the v23 was because I already had this case laying around. dizz
  5. Specs: DW6263 case Clarkes t-21 crystal Ofrei pushers Gen 703 triplock crown V23 movement New DW black dial Gen Rolex rivet bracelet with springs I got the V23 cheap.. needs service, but it seems to keep ok time for now. The hands needed a little work to make them fit right but it all turned out perfect in the end. dizz
  6. Nice writeup! I am going to go pick up a 30mm socket for my work bench. dizz
  7. Thank you!! This is very exciting... its been in the works for so many years and tonight, its FINALLY on my wrist!
  8. Ive been working on this one for over 3 years... Finally got the dial today! DW case DW black dial with "DAYTONA" in red. Clarkes t-21 Ofrei pushers Gen 703 crown V23 movement (dirty and needs to be serviced still, but it runs ok) Gen rivet bracelet with springs I cant get over how great this watch is. Its smaller 38mm size isnt even bothering me anymore. Its just so beautiful. The pics dont do it justice at all. I took these at midnight in my kitchen. I'll have to take some good ones out in the daytime. dizz
  9. My old DW6263... New DW black dial, V23, gen bracelet, Ofrei Pushers, gen crown etc
  10. Looks good!! Nice fit and finish and nice straight, deep rehaut. dizz
  11. Well the dial finally showed up in the mail today... The last piece of the puzzle. The most beautiful watch I have ever owned, and I built it myself.
  12. Does it actually take a gen crystal? Thats the million dollar question.
  13. Hello and welcome to the forum! You're best bet is to do a little reading and search for "1016" in the Rolex section of the forum. You will quickly find everything you need to know. I am not a 1016 expert so Im sorry I cant help you there. cheers dizz
  14. Why does it says he has 100% positive feedback when he has all those negatives? Apparently ebay is only showing the last 12 months when they calculate your feedback percentage?? interesting. Anyways, it looks like a PT sub to me. Datewindow is off to the left, crown way too low etc
  15. Buy a tube and see if it fits. Im sure the hole in the case is the same size. I cant see the hole being too big. If anything, rep holes are always smaller than the gen. That bracelet will work perfect. I would probably use a Yuki 7206 when I build mine. I like the older style bracelets
  16. I have a number of caseback gaskets but they are all for Submariners and therefor they are all slightly too large. Any ideas what the part # is from Clarkes or whoever might sell them? They all seem to be listed by part numbers and not case reference or size.
  17. Ive never received a correct order from that guy. i only use his as a last resort.
  18. Hello VDB. I have a question for you. I cant seem to PM you. You can email me at DoubleRedRolex@gmail.com

  19. Just thought I would bump this topic. It seems like 2 years ago, we were seeing "NOS" 7836 bracelets coming from Hong Kong being sold on ebay. The about a year or so later, Josh introduced the 1655 with the really good 7836 bracelet. Now we are seeing lots of NOS 9315 bracelets coming out of hong kong. Its weird that some sellers on ebay seem to have an endless supply of these NOS 9315's. Maybe in a year we will see a rep 9315 bracelet make an appearance. Im shocked that there is no really GOOD 93150 or 9315 bracelets out there. Its only a matter of time before we see one pop up. There was also a post of VRF noting a really good fake 9315 thats almost better than the Rolex version and has thicker folded links. Hopefully soon something comes out. What do you guys think? Dizz
  20. Dont need to pull out anything else, when you've got one of these...
  21. Ive bought a lot of genuine parts from them, and I've never had a problem. I always get exactly what I see in the pics. dizz
  22. depending on the model, it might not supposed to turn "right" anyways lol
  23. Seconds at 6 rep cases are all too thick because of the thick A7750, gearing and rotor. Anyone who knows Daytonas will spot this on the wrist. Its the one thing I look for when i see a newer Daytona. Also as you already know, the seconds at 6 rep movements are junk. Therefor its impossible to build neither an accurate nor a reliable daytona rep without going to an MBW or Phong case for $1500+ Until the Chinese make a proper movement for the Daytonas, we will be plagued by these two issues. I also want to build an accurate daytona rep, but you around going to need $4000 to do it. UNLESS you can find one of the older first generation seconds at 6 daytonas because they were a thinner case. Freddy built one of these I believe. They also use an older version of the A7750 that is a low beat 21,600 movement that for some reason doesnt have all the mechanical issues like the newer A7750 seconds at 6. This is your only chance to build anything that at least looks correct.
  24. No you need to send it to a machine shop to get the rehaut turned down so the crystal fits properly. Its a design flaw in the watch. thats why the crystal that it comes with is so oversized. You can contact JMB here on the forum and see if he has time to do it for you.
