Omegas can as the gen is a on a 2892 base...I think Cartier and the Franck Mullers can also take the 2892 with spacers although don't quote me on that...

Lani probably won't give a number but he could use the metal in his to build a bridge from HI to the CONUS mainland I've got 0 reps left ( ) and I've been expanding my gen collection- I have somewhere around 30 gen pieces from as early as the 1920s to stuff that just came out in 2008 and I'm buying more as gen prices are dropping in the pre-owned market and at AD's (Picked up a SMP and an Eberhard for a song a few weeks back)

No problem... I know RobbieG and The Zigmeister have posted on the thinness of the ETA 2892 and how it is used as a base for modules due to this thinness (vs the Rolex 313x series) so you'd think that the 2892 Seagull clone would be an ideal movement for such modifications..

True...although I seem to recall reading that many of the ETA clones are fairly well oiled as compared to some of the surplus "gen" ETA movements that go into some watches...a crapshoot I guess- when in doubt...have it serviced!

Awesome to see Ubi back here- and to show us a project like this, no less! Those Tudors are totally underrated and have more character than most watches of that era... glad to see this superb watch will have a great home!

Flybacks... hmm.. I've used gen flybacks and they are super cool... not sure what type of work goes into one on a rep / asian mvt... I'd assume it uses a thinner movement like the 2892 clone by Seagull? (ST something...16 maybe?) From what I've read, and of course The Zigmeister would be more qualified to give you an answer, but the 2892 clone movements are supposed to be quite reliable and trustworthy- not sure what issues you'd run into with a flyback module but again- I'll leave that one for the experts Best of luck! White/ Black with the SS case also looks awesome- I've owned that watch in RG, YG, and SS and it looks great no matter what the material. The supplied deployant is garbage but the strap is actually very high quality (according to a good friend who manages a Tourneau). If you're friendly with a local AD, etc you can pop in and have them cut the strap and install a tang buckle- much, much better IMHO
