  1. I would get it serviced over buying a new movement, you will have to pay a watchmaker to install the movement anyway (unless you are skilled enough to do it yourself).
  2. Very nice, I love the gold DJ on croc, very classy
  3. It's nice to see things haven't changed too much since I've been away! Always good to see the classic watches.
  4. I've had mine for just over 2 years now, and it's still going strong. I rotate between the rubber strap and steel bracelet to give it a completely different look every now and then. I would recommend one if you don't own one already, it's a very nice watch for the price.
  5. Very nice watch, great work The black rubber goes very well with the orange bezel and numerals, ESPECIALLY when the crystal is double AR'ed!
  6. I'm a member on all 3 forums. I originally signed upto RWG1 but my good friend TeeJay introduced me to this place, and the rest as they say is history This place just feels "natural" to me and is my rep forum home. I can't quite put my finger on why, it just is..
  7. Definitely agree that it feels strange if I don't have one on. I've always been into watches, when I was really young I would spend ages looking at the watch section in retailer catalogues
  8. Which part is broken, is it the pin in the middle?
  9. Welcome back Robbie, I was gone too for about 4-6 months.. but it's great to be back. I'm suprised to see you haven't made any new acquisitions, but then I do appreciate you put in a lot of thought in your collection, and that each piece has a unique quality
  10. This is a Scotch-Brite pad: This is a refinishing pad: As is this: I've found the refinishing pads to give a higher quality finish than the scotchbrite scour pads. I believe it has to do with the consistent grain found on the refinishing blocks which results in a better looking grain and finish on the steel.
  11. Have you looked into replacing the watch pillows? I'm also on the look out for a supplier who sells good quality watch pillows, my current ones are sh!t.
  12. Plus its probably easier to get a clasp re-plated than the case
  13. Yes, as its not genuine 18K gold like on the gen.. all rep versions of this watch will be off in weight, until the factories make one using real gold
  14. Happy birthday R, hope you enjoyed it
  15. I put my MBK EOD for sale a couple of days ago.. it didn't get any interest so I thought I would revive it with a new Kevlar strap with pvd buckle and wear it for a while.. I'm beginning to like it
  16. It seems that in many cases its due to the quality of the finishing on the SS and not the actual chemical composition. I re-finished my UPO bracelet with a fine satin brushing block, and not only did the grain look better, but it was more whiter in appearance! I then took a soft cotton cloth, dabbed it in some Cape Cod solution and lightly polished the bracelet using back and forth strokes. The bracelet ended up looking much better with a sheen to it, as opposed to the dull grey look from the factory.

  18. Thanks for the words of support. I am very angry that he still has watches and parts that belong to others.. theres no excuse for his behaviour. I'll definitely keep everyone posted on any news of progress. Zigmeister, I think your suggestion might be the best way to approach this situation. Its easy to avoid emails, its more difficult to avoid phone calls but it can still be done as I experienced today. I'm hoping we can organise a group of members who haven't got their stuff back, and pay Dedman a visit. I will definitely keep on ringing him daily..several times a day. I also hope other members who haven't got their stuff back read this thread and ask me for his number so they can ring him too... No doubt bro.. he's gonna get whats coming to him.. one day. This guy is beyond words.. if I don't get my stuff back soon.. I will definitely be paying him a visit. I just think it would be better if I could organise a group of members who haven't got their stuff back either, and we all pay him a visit. He's got my brand new IWC Slevin which I paid $350 for.. and a further £100 servicing. I've only ever worn it for a couple of hours before I sent it to him for repair. I really miss that watch, it was awesome. The second one he has was a brand new Breitling SOH V2 black.. another stunning watch which I sent to him for the Chief AR run. The b*stard has had both of these in his possession for over a year.. Yeah you were very fortunate my friend.. I just wish I met or heard of Domi before this joker. Thanks for your words of support bro, hopefully ALL of us get our stuff back, none of us deserve to have our watches stolen.
  19. Definitely hard to figure this guy out.. he contacts after almost a year, but then ignores my emails and phone call. Strange guy indeed. I certainly hope you're right Chief, maybe there is a chance we'll get our stuff back.
  20. Appreciate the support bro Yeah I have his private address.. I'm going to plan a little "trip" to his place when time and circumstances permits, I'll see if I can get a group organised consisting of other members who didn't get their stuff back either and pay Dedman a visit...
