Nobody. No one person, that is. The community as a whole is top notch, and it takes everyone being a part and contributing to make it so.

:thumbsupsmileyanim:

Thank you Chief, could not have said It better. No "one person" can make this community what It Is,"the best horalogical site on the net". Members like Hike and Ubi and so many others are well respected and appreciated for there contributions. Thanks for the kind words from my friends, thanks guys :drinks: I vote to not vote and embrace the community as a whole. :friends:

Hey Lani, it's nice to have you back running a large-scale event like this.

You've been missed!

thank you B .. I'm feeeliinn it .. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

again.. I hope for participation ... it's nice to be humble.. as long as it's not being humble and wanting everyone to know it ..

as a 'Team" we should embrace the members that are recognized.. that's all .. no more no less..

Humility is to know who and what one is.. merely Human..

So with that said.. can we "Do this" ?? :brow:

I would have to vote for Hike, he has shown me personally and on the forum just what a great member of the community he is and more importantly a genuinely nice bloke :thumbsupsmileyanim:

And more importantly he gave me free porn :)

As for noobie, I agree Gtanak :thumbsupsmileyanim:

I'm glad I don't have to make the final decision since there are so many who really "fit the mold". Ubi, Hike, Chiman, LHOOQ, alligoat, the list goes on...

T, thanks, I'm humbled...

+3 for LHOOQ. Without his contributions, I wouldn't have a bunch of great watch wallpapers and mainly for his sharing with us his awesome Space Dweller

Not so sure about Maxman, though. He can't even spell "horoligical" correctly... he does have one of the best sigs however :thumbsupsmileyanim:

You're very welcome :) Being the son of a tool-maker/engineer, I know quality workmanship when I see it :good::drinks:

i agree with Chief -- and the others that agreed with Chief... :good:

there's just too many facets to this community...the list of folks that have shown support to others - horologically and human interest - is just too large...that's what makes this place "work"...we share ideas, parts, reviews, friendship, caring, fun and porn...( :pardon: sorry - had to get the porn in there in support of Hike)

many of you have become "friends" on and off the forum...and countless others lead by example with support and advice to newbs and seniors alike...

this was a terrific year...but how can we not recognize the work by T, who led us thru the upgrade and all the other "fires" he's had to deal with to provide the back that carries us all... :drinks:

Like others I feel that last year the job of picking newbie was hard because of the many standouts and this year hard due to the lack of the same.

One newbie name i have seen popping up and saying the right things along the way is 'whoever' so I will give him a vote.

Member of the year is either very easy or extremely hard.

Easy...Our Admin for the 10th year running.

Hard...Hike, Ubi, Lani, Maxman, Chiman, hackR etc etc etc.......

I'll go for Hike...his posts make me happy :thumbsupsmileyanim:

I just saw this thread now, and I'm humbled to even be mentioned in this thread, by three guys I admire. :hi:

However, I would like to jiu-jitsu that honor and deflect it back to jmb. How many of you out there own a watch that was worked on by Justin, or contains a part that he fabricated? OK, now vote! :king:

Voting will be at the end of the month.. I'll set up a vote poll with the names listed.. everyone is deserving fo sure !!

keep in mind the "spirit" in which this is intended, not to say one member i better than the rest.. but rather to appreciate hard work and the support to the Community !!

the "Spirit" of the event and not the trophy is the intention .. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

I'm humbled to be mentioned also! But what I've learned, I've learned through the community and more importantly from Ubi...I can't say it enough and others have mentioned numerous times...Ubi is what RWG is all about...his willingness to share, his generosity of donating items to members, his building/modding experience, and his quick wit.

Ubi...you can't say no man!!!:victory:

To name just one is really hard. I've been bitten by the Rolex bug and have been given copious amounts of help from many members who frequent the Rollie forum. A special shout out to Donerix and Dizzy who have been most helpful in my research of the 1665.

Edit: I realized mine was more of a personal note but would nominate Ubi and Freddy, like the American Express card, they have been everywhere helping out with their extensive knowledge base.

I am not too up on the newbie of the year.

As far as member of the year goes, I have to say Ubiquitous, no question. Even though he was busy and away at times this year, his continued generosity to members, one-off builds for members, is second to none. Heck, if he is not eligible for member of the year, I nominate him for the first ever "RWG Lifetime Achievement Award". :D

So to be clear.. this is the official nomination thread?

this is gonna be tough.... too many people here.. In general.. the newbies that have the most posts in their first year generally are the ones that tend to contribute the most (at least at first).. Red was a good example of that last year. Not sure there was anyone that posted more than him in one year..

I consider soo many of you all to be such great members. I think that if there were a way for nominations to be anonymous it would create more participation though.. Just my .02cents ;)
