Hi guys - quick question:

16610. Lugholes Drilled. "Swiss Made" Dial.

SEL Oyster Bracelet, or 580's?

Thanks!

Well I guess I'n gonna mix things up and try this setup. 580's on Oyster for the sub...jubilee for the air King.

I have a gen P serial 16610 from 2000. It has a SEL bracelet, which from my research was the first year that they used the 93250 as a replacement for the 93150. As Matt said, the correct end links were the 580, however I have seen some with the 501b so perhaps both are correct.

I certainly can't fault the 93250 SEL bracelet, very tight and with the drilled lugholes, just as easy to remove as the old style end links.

I think the 501b was the end links before the 93250. As such, I think the 501b was used as the "service" end link.

Interesting. I didn't know they introduced the SEL 93250 that year.
It makes sense : 580 followed by 501B then SEL...the turning point of the 16610.

580, for sure.  I really don't like the looks of SELs, too "artificial" if you know what I mean...

SEL or 501b would be correct for your dial. If you opt for 501b endlinks you need the 93150 with the strange midlink on the endpiece that looks like this

501Bs are correct for the 16610/93150. 16800 and 168000s came with 593 ends on the 93150

580s are for the 1680, 5513, 5512 and 1675- the subs all came with 93150s after 1976.

2 mandatory conditions if you want to keep your SELs bracelet :
1 - the holes you'll drill on the lugs must be perfectly centered with the existing holes
2 - you must enlarge the SELs holes up to 2.1 mm

If I were you the first thing I would do is to order nice 2mm bars so you can check if you have to drill the lugs 1.25 or 1.2 mm (some 2mm bars have thinner spring parts).
