  1. open up the case if youre daring. shaving the dial will result in the same look as you already have and ruin a dial.
  2. no, you can see the correct sized dial is in these photos but you can tell the diameter of the case is too narrow as the swiss T25 at the bottom is touching the metal and the minute hashes are about half as long as they should be. if youre keeping the red dial id try and obtain a vintage fat coronet crown instead of the TC crown
  3. i like the J and K, pity bout the large pearl
  4. the mbk one is thinner, it will not match the rest of the TC bracelet once screwed together. quick pictorial: MBK 93150 5513 bracelet version TOP GEN 93150 BOTTOM its clear to see the difference
  5. looking nice! not sure if i like the clarks bezel ring or not. 1. get a better dial ($150-$200) i find a feet first dial to be more accurate amongst reproductions, plus the serial on your sub (L342...) is for a feet first the bracelet on MBKs is all wrong. clasp has incorrect 1/2 adjustment side holes, side of links are polished and are actually the incorrect thickness. for some reason MBK makes two 93150s, one for the 1665 (which is the more correct finish with no polish and the correct thickness) and one for the 5513. why they dont just supply the same 93150 for both i will never udnerstand. 2. buy a gen clasp ($150) and depolish the side of the those links is probably the best solution. 3. gen 703 crown (yuki tube) with the 'fat' coronet after that youre done.
  6. dial print is none too accurate, so right away dont count on this being a super accurate show piece worth sinking too much $$ into.
  7. something bout that date mag dont look right to me, maybe its the dial
  8. thought some members found new batches to not have a gen like assembly any longer (?)
  9. chances are good if you buy the MBK it will have a red caseback whether you get a white or red. so if you can live with having a gret white with a red caseback try it, otherwise just get a red
  10. i assure you i am workign to bring this to you guys asap. there always seems to be a hurdle to cross, one after the other. i have a 5514 prototype 2.0 on route. the first one was almost perfect, but then we spent some time trying to resolve the bezel ring inner diamater being to small by literally 1/10th of a mm, a gen insert was having trouble fitting with out sanding the outter diameter, or it would fit but too tight. i still have no idea how well its been resolved until i receive the lastest prototype next week. i just want this thing to be as spectacular as everyone hopes it is, and as much as everyone deserves. the next hurdle im trying to resolve now is a wire tansfer issue. my bank and government get real nosey around who gets money transferred to them by wire especialy when it leaves this country. their fears are with money laundering and funding terrorism. my manufacturer likes their anonymity, understandably so, so it is proving hard to get certain information required to pay them properly and satisfy the fact checking government. i have no problem telling them i am buying non OEM watch parts for resale, but my manufacturer is less than forthcoming with their information i suspect they do not want to be on their corrupt governments radar for any reason. so beyond those issues i can confirm this project is very much alive along with future models im working on in the interim. thank you to all for still believing, and heres to getting some good after market cases and parts asap.
  11. i have personally observed this as well with ingod dials. i believe there is air underneath some of the paint and it simply flakes off during installation
  12. its too common for my liking. VINTAGE BABY! it shows an appreciation for the pedigree, not just some trendy wrist jewelry
  13. you got it! CGS ARE DECENT, if anything you can polish the outsides down a bit to achieve a sharp pointed cg datewheel is faux, laser printed for illustration purposes. CHECK OUT THAT CROWN HEIGHT ETA 2846 installed FLATTER CASE BACK THAN THE MBKS GEN LIKE CONSTRUCTION, Custom RED SERIAL (NO replica blacklisted ones) FEAUTRING MY 1680 RED dial (PROPER 26.5mm) with FEET FOR ETA (NO CLIPPING) im still waiting to hear from my manufacturer on some changes i want made to this case set. its 98% there, slow back and forth and shipping of gen parts back and forth.
  14. its ok, but far from accurate. mine arent 100% accurate either. GEN: that Meters first is tricky, different sized fonts through out, odd kerning. feet first come in more accurate offerings IMO
  15. youd think that. funny thing is a GEN 5513 bezel insert doesnt even fit over their too large Tropic 19. it also bent / destroyed my retaining ring when trying to fit it, because i did not realise it was larger until it was too late. also bought their bezel assembly for a 16610 it was also too large, the crystal took in humidity. i returned it. so unless you want to support your local post office, id avoid WSO
  16. i have a RED dial i received from my dial printer that i was test driving in my prototype 1680 case. my dials are made with feet for ETA, so you do NOT have to clip the feet, "singer" engraved plate. dial is brand new factory direct. i figure i should start recouping some costs to move my case projects forward faster let me know if its your taste in red. Ignore the date wheel print, its a faux date wheel to check the cyrstal mag size
  17. dial for sure, crystal, insert cant really see the rest
