Dammit, why did I have to read this thread?! Staging parts of the show I can live with, finding out he just prays his way out of survival situations doesn't impress me quite so much when you are in the business of handing out survival advice.
I was hoping for something a bit more practical....
I like that show though - even though I first saw it on Harry Hill where they took the piss every week:
The phrases aren't a problem - it's Fedex-speak for "it's going to be late", that's why they say "beyond our control".
But when it's in the destination country and it happens after it enters clearance; I'd be concerned. Fedex tend to be more vigilant on adding customs duties to things.
Perhaps some of the other Dutch members might know more from experience with them locally.
Best of luck, anyway.
I have got to show you this photo I saw today....this blew me away.
This guy was in the water trying to take photos of salmon, paddling around, when he stops and looks to see who is paddling right next to him (and looking fairly unimpressed):
Only in Alaska, eh? Okay, only in Alaska and Kamchatka, Russia where this photo was taken...
But look at the expression on that bear's face!
This is an old one
He always sets up new products on the site with that price (all the 8's are lucky) before they go on sale.
But, of course, if anyone is tempted at that price I think there will be a long queue of people willing to supply it.
Rbj69 is of course banned from this forum for unethical practices.
There are two reputable members here doing AR runs from time to time - one in the US (Chieftang), one in the EU (k2222). If you search the forum you see photos, reviews and details.
300 Canadian? That's what three or four thousand US dollars these days isn't it?
The options are just so vast - are there some titanium PAM's or IWC's that pique your interest?
There's definitely a level of interest beyond just whacking your credit card on the counter and walking out of the store (although on TZ it seems that a lot of interest seems to stem from sucking up to get on a waiting list).
I especially like the way some members get into modding to improve their watches, and the extra level of knowledge that comes with making some of the frankens. That takes the hobby into a different place. Check out Euno's FA Jones for example, it's fantastic. Or Phoband designed his own skeleton watch the way he wanted it, not to forget his PAM 666.
