Who's Waiting For Angus' Chronomat Evolution?
woody replied to Rolexman's topic in The Breitling Area
Hi guys, I have just exchanged email with Angus, and told him about some of the concerns we all had for the grey dial. He wanted me to post this picture on his behalf, as he had just taken this, but is too busy to post this. He hopes that it will show the contrast better. I think we really would not know until we all receive ours. But, just based on the picture, it does look pretty much like the graphite dial. I have not researched for too much gen photos on the net, but I have a feeling that this grey dial may be just a tad off, then again, like I have said, we really would not know more, until we all receive the watches. So hope this picture can address some of our concerns.....thanks. -

Props for the review Joe, thanks for taking some good pictures to illustrate. -
My Modded 111h Stolen! And I Know Who Has It...
woody replied to flavor flav's topic in General Discussion
Get some duct tape and some good Chicken Of the Sea, strap that tuna can down her wrist with the good tapes, then you are good to go mate. If she started crying still, then it's time to look for a cheap Asian beater pam, and try that route!! Good luck. -
My Sincerest Gratitude For A Wonderful Experience, To Everyone Here
woody replied to gioarmani's topic in General Discussion
That is pretty freaky, makes me want to go into my box of old bad fakes and start taking pics of them....... -
I asked Angus about this watch when he posted that he was prepping for that other IWC rep. But never got an answer from him. To me, this IWC pilot chrono would be more desirable than the Chronomat Evolution. But I hope this one will be repped.......soon.

Who's Waiting For Angus' Chronomat Evolution?
woody replied to Rolexman's topic in The Breitling Area
Thanks for the clarification guys. Glad I was not crazy on that. Angus, Is it possible for you to take future pictures, with some of the dates showing 12? since most of the catalog showing a 12 on the date window, I think that would be the best for direct comparison. do you think you can make that happen? -
Who's Waiting For Angus' Chronomat Evolution?

are these the graphite dial with black subdial version that Angus post picture on? Am I mistaken, or wasn't the graphite dial with black subdial have the white lettering of "Automatic" can someone confirm this for me? Maybe I am stupid, but I thought that was the only version available as a gen right now. -
Randy is actually quite the watch aficionado. Keep watching throughout the season, and you will see. He has quite a bit of collection. Some of course, is rather tacky and just a bit too bling for most of us. But for the Hollywood types, he's right at home. But he does have quite a few. Wait until they get to the final 12/24. You'll be seeing Randy wearing a different watch each week. Simon, however, always seem to have a Breitling at times, he could also be wearing a Maurice LaCroix, a la Jay Leno, although that I am not sure. Last and CERTAINLY least, Ryan Seacrest. Although we have to admire that he can get quite a few ladies to like him, his watch taste is downright awful. I think he is wearing more of the fashion clothing brand, I am thinking, Diesel, Gucci, and the likes. And no, I cannot confirm if that is exactly what he is wearing, and I don't think any of us should care for that matter too...... Paula, well, she can wear me anytime, well, let's make that a few years back.....she is now just a crazy lady, crazy, and scary at times. She is looking more like that animated cat in her "Opposite attract" video I think.

Hello all watchmates, Just wanted to provide some additional updates of the rep updates that has been happening with my "coworker". Today, he came by and say good morning to me, and asked "where is your tag?", I said, "It's at home, but I'll bring it to the office tomorrow." He said, "good, bring it so I can see it". In the meantime, I told him, that I did not wear the Tag, but am wearing another watch. He asked to see my wrist. I showed him my The Zigmeisterfied IWC GST SS, and he said "Nice!" So, tomorrow, I will be bringing the Tag for him to see. Probably update the thread again tomorrow. Just thought I would keep those who are interested with the current updates..... Have a good night.

Thanks Usil. I would, but I really don't know him too well yet. Just don't know how to break it to a guy and say, "I am a rep enthusiast/expert." My other coworker who knows that I am a big watch nut said that he would take me shopping if he ever gets a expensive watch. He has since left the company. I think my current sup/coworker may think that I know a thing or two about watches, cause he has now seen me with a few different watches. When I saw that it was a pretty bad rep, it was really uncomfortable. I think perhaps deep down inside he knew I was somewhat into watches, so he decided to come clean, especially after I asked, "what does your wife do?" maybe he doesn't want me to think that he's rich and rob him or something.... I would never bust him, cause he is directly above me, got to look out for my job. In the office, I would never refer to him as my superior, maybe I was using too nice of an analogy. But you are right, I AM THE BOSS OF ME, and that starts today!! I thought about wearing the 1680 today Randy. But I felt somewhat less complete because it has not gone through all that mods yet, you know those parts I got from you are, they all dying to go be put in!! But that time will come too, I keep everything very low key. But he somehow always take a peek of what I wear these days... Well, during a meeting that I had with him and another manager for my yearly review, he saw my Fiddy, and had complemented saying "I always like those big watches, I think I am going to get me one of those some time", and the day before I saw his Tag, I was wearing my modded 005 with a Greg Stevens, and he noticed it. He pointed at my wrist, and after I looked at my wrist, and looked back at him, he gave me a big thumbs up. Although I think he may not know what a Pam is though. I still have to show him my Tag next week. So we'll see how that goes. Thanks for everyone who had replied as always, and have a good weekend......it's so dreary down here as it's been raining all day.....crappy!!

well, I will be waiting for Angus' Chronomat Evolution that I will be getting. That will be really bling to wear around the office. I think I just may take that and strap on the leather right away, otherwise my "coworker" will be seeking me out.

So onto my normal workday, taking care of my clients over the phone as usual (no no, it's not what you think, but maybe I should go into that, and I can make that $25,000 a month income too, like our dealers.....haha) I went over to my superior's desk, to ask him something, and spotted him wearing a Tag Heuer Link. I then went back to my desk, and typed back, "is that a nice Tag Heuer Link that I saw?" and we went on from there, he went on and have commented that he got it a few months ago, I asked him where he got it (if it is from the local dealers down here) and he said he does not know, as it was a gift. Then my superior managed to come over, and said "what do you think?" and took the Link off his wrist for me to look. Upon first look, I can see something was off, the dial, hands, and date window. Then I saw the real dead giveaway, the holes on the side of the bracelet. I commented on, "wow, what does your wife do, to buy you a gift like that? My wife almost bought me a watch, but didn't", I saw some hesitance in his expressions. Then after a short time, he said to me, "It's a knockoff.", and I replied, "I know, but I did not want to say anything". He then asks, "How do you know?" I then proceeded to point out all the flaws, and told him that I have a gen Tag Heuer S-EL, the predecessor of the Link. He told me his wife got it in the Philippines for $15. I went on to tell him good deal, and exchanged some more pleasantries. I told my boss, I would bring in my gen Tag Heuer in some time so he can inspect further. All the while I was wearing a Seamaster, that did not get exposed outside my wrist. I think no matter what, we should never openly point out another person's watch as fake, unless the guy in question is a douche bag of course. But I think this will be a good bonding situation for me and my boss. Thought I'd share my story for the board to hear. If it was too boring, I apologize for wasting you guys' time.....have a good Friday everyone!!

I don't know how I can miss the thread also, but you know Randy, you can count me in for at least two, but you already know that informally I'd hope. Can't wait......
-
Yes, Randy, we are all guilty, and for those people who have been reading the thread, and have not posted anything, they are guilty of it too. but yes, our wives and significant others should appreciate the fact that some of us check out watches rather than other women's assets, and I mean some of us....but I got my wife trained like that too now, as she is in the sales business and have looked at what other people are wearing, and if she finds some common ground, then she will use it, to bond with her clients, such as, "Yes, my husband has a submariner too!", or "my husband's Panerai looks just like yours"..... She's got it to a T.

go to desktop properties, and select the desktop tab, then go to "customize desktop", and add the URL into web tab, and hit apply, then you can either use it for as a small portion, or run as a full page active desktop. I hope that works. PS. I really wish I was a computer geek

As a consensus, yes, Admin, I think it should go back too. It would be one thing that it is the wrong model and that you can live with the mistakes, but it seemed that some of the mistakes, like previous posters said, may be a tad significant, and considered with the price that was paid on this piece, if I were you, I would. You just have to ask yourself, can you live with those mistakes day in and day out, based on the price you paid, on a model that you did not want. If not, then I would say contact the dealer and get the return going. good luck.

This may sound really novice, but can't TT just ask the seller to take a pic of the case with the bracelet off, and see if it says polex or rolex? or is that moddable too? just curious.

Can't wait, it is going to be some exciting time, once that datewheel is here!!
-
I'll bite, and I will say it is real. if I am wrong, what's the harm in it? I am not a sub pro by any mean anyway, Randy will know based on all the questions that I asked him. One thing that I thought that if it is a rep, it took a some effort to pay attention to detail as far as the age of the edge of the bezel ring, that is one heck of a job if it turns out to be a rep. other than that, I thought the datewheel looked gen, cause it is bolder. speaking of which, is the datewheel project done randy? sorry have not hopped on the forum much in the past 2 weeks, been out to Asia, but now I am back full force I hope. well, TT, when will the information be unveiled?

it's all good andrew, I see both of your threads here. it may have taken a bit longer for review purposes. great stuff. I will be sure to add to your subscription on iTunes.

TT had stopped the post and I applaud that. While I did not pay anywhere near those skyhigh prices when I started out, this is what this forum is for, to help out others not to get scammed, while we enjoy this great hobby of mine. Your initial post must be real fishy, because even in your very first post in the first page, you mentioned watchmaker's web address in full. I think I ought to do a review for Paul's, Joshua's, Jay and Angel's, Angus', PT's, Eddie's, Sash's and broadcast all of their web address too. Any dealers that I have left out, my apology in advance. But you see AMK, that is where TT said this whole thing smells fishy, and yes, I believe if we do a poll, most members would think it would sound/smell fishy too. No offense, but TT just had our best interests as well as noobs', and I say it is for the better of this community. Happy holidays everyone.....
