Very nice pickup. Getting hard to come by these days. Gen dial is possible but not necessary. Like maxman said a relume of the dial and hands goes a long way. See link in my sign below. As for movement it depends on what is under the hood and what you plan for the future. If it is a Swiss ETA then a service is in order. If a clone then you could service it or let it go until it dies and then replace it with ETA. No matter what you do enjoy that beautiful piece.
Wow. They really do not know how to effectively run a business. I do not know the ins and outs of movement/watch manufacture and sales but I cannot imagine it is significantly different than automobiles with which I am intimately familiar. To turn around and say "screw you" to all your existing and previous customers and leave them with no alternative is just insane. Can you imagine taking your car in to get fixed just to be told "Sorry, we cannot sell you parts. You will have to buy a new car from us instead." Oh well. Like already said, others will step up to fill the void.
Welcome to RWG!
There is a plethora of knowledge here so I am sure you will find the direction and guidance you seek. As maxman said, you will be up to speed in no time. In fact it looks like you already are. You have started your search for a new PAM at the perfect time. The releases in the last few months have really stepped up a few levels. Almost can't go wrong now Have fun with your search and make sure to share your experience and results.
Welcome and thanks for sharing with us. Great way to start your time with us here.
I think your PO looks great. The centering of the pearl is excellent which used to be one of the more noticeable problems with the rep. I have the PoC with orange numerals on the dial and they too are on the red side. So normal I think.
As for being called out, I think 99.9% of people would not be able to see it so no worries. Just enjoy.
Like Ronin said, it is not really worth going down the rep path for a gen that generally sells for a reasonable price.
Also, like has been said on here many times before. If not shown as a trusted dealer section, they are not trusted. Stick to the list and you should be OK. Although, not sure if they sell the watch you are looking for.
Wow. You got that answer fast. I hope it was correct advice. Just to cover the bases perform the following.
1) While holding the crown tightly in one hand pull back the click from the ratchet wheel to allow the barrel to unload it's energy
2) Slowly release pressure from the crown and allow it to unwind....slowly...until all power is released
3) Remove bridge covering said pube
4) Remove offending pube
5) May as well clean the bridge and also pinion with some rodico while it is off
6) Re-assemble bridge
7) Lube where appropriate
Steps 1 and 2 are key. If all power is not released from the barrel the movement will go kaploey when that bridge comes off and damage will ensue.
Hope you get your pubes in order
