Hi,
i got this watch in a terrible member trade -
scratched (he send be the watch without any protection) and dirty as hell
anyway - to prevent me from getting arm cancer my watchmaker cleaned the watch, polished an regulated it - so its wearable now.
my question :
there are still some deep scratches i prob have to live with but the CGs should be easy to refinish ?
anybody have some tips ? i guess i have to disassemble the whole CG ? how can i re-brush them ? sand paper ?
thanks !!
Frank
haha finding this thread makes me feel better
im banned in Repgeek and RWI now - nearly the same situation - i really got totally scammed be an well known member in Repgeek.
I got the most [censored] up watch ever in all this years in the forums - and the seller, instead of trying to make things right calls me all kind of names on top ....
anyway - I asked Mysterio as a mod on Repgeek for help - got no response but an permanent ban message on screen.
Then is sent him an PM on RWI asking why i was banned when im asking for help with an member and got there banned too
Well - thanks Mysterio for your help - NOT
cheers,
Frank
one 16610 and one 16610 LV -
typical problem : the movemnt unwinds himself - the crown breakes = you can not manualy wind the watch -
the TC datewheel overlay is just mounted with some stripes of double-side tape = sooner or later the date will hang low or not switch over alone.
even after a service the movemnt feel cheap compared the gen ETA.
dont get me wrong - the watches look great - esp after some gen parts are installed - but with all the problems i had, they burned a big hole in my pocket
maybe i was unlucky - i also did not get the watches from TC direct - i got them in member trades ... which i tend to be unlucky with latly .... hello "Indec"
cheers,
Frank
i had nothing but trouble with the last 2 TC Subs i had-
(crown, movement, datewheel and general quality problems)
i whould not recommend an TC Sub if you are not willing to work on your watches and have an rep-friendly watchsmith.
cheers,
Frank
