Happy Thanksgiving to everyone above the 65th parallel!!

Welcome back Ken, we missed you. I'm sorry about your father and the aftermath. We went through almost the same thing here and it leaves a foul taste in your mouth. It's good to see you're better than that.

Hot damn, look at that result! Great write-up, these kind of articles are exactly why this place exists. Well done!

This is where we start with questions like these... this site gives movement diameters, heights, stem heights and pinion sizes... all the details you'll need to see if a 2893 can fit a 2824 hole. http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&&2uswk&ETA_2846

@Faster897 Don't be discouraged by the lack of response to your helpful attempt at this guide. It is appreciated a lot more than you know. Most people here cruise around checking out all the new stuff, and don't take the time to comment. That doesn't mean it's not helpful buddy. Remember these are fakes. They're cheap and mass produced but oh so close to the real thing. If you find something you love and it has a cosmetic flaw, there are lots of ways to deal with it. Get another dial? Or send it out to one of our modders and have them relume it the right way. I've done that several times and the artists we have walking the halls of RWG can just about do magic. Stick around! Be an active presence here! Stir up activity and post stuff... set that example to prod other people to do it too. Sharing knowledge is why we're here.

Music Lovers - What are you listening to right now?

I've got an obscure one here... "Smoking the Day Away" by May Blitz. -
Yep, Madas is one of the old timers. Hover your mouse pointer over his name in his posts and in your status bar you'll see he's member #411. He was here literally from day one when we migrated over from the sinking ship that was our first RWG. This gentleman represents the best of RWG. We have a few guys that have been here since the beginning and they bring their skill, passion and gentlemanly approach to everything they touch. It's much appreciated to see them still around.

Outstanding result... you know where to send mine! You should consider inscribing a small mark known only to you, so we'll be able to spot these as they begin appearing on the "100% original" VRF vintages.- 95 replies

I know there were complaints about him taking too long to deliver. Usually those could be traced to improper payment methods. Who tries to pay with Hasblo Monopory Money?!

That's a heck of a collection! Very nice. And thanks for taking the time to post it! How about some detailed photos of what you'd consider favorites?

Amen

Beautiful! It looks great on there. What is the source for that extra thin caseback?
-
Oh yeah, hands down Crazy was the best. TC? Phong? Pikers. I still have my XXLDRTRLWWW saved from those heady days of early RWG. Yes, all these years I've been keeping it in a climate controlled safe, knowing some day it will be worth a lot. Feast your eyes!
-
Troublemaker! I need to think of an appropriate punishment for you.
-
Haaaaaaaaa!! Love it. Are you sure you're not Alaskan?

Don't give up hope. Two years is not unusual and in the end it is worth it. It's worth waiting and hunting for. Sometimes when we have to wait and hope and pray for something to happen, and then it does happen, it makes the final outcome all the better. But not always. I learned a very hard lesson in a situation like this and it made me reexamine everything about lusting after something, and in the end when I had it in my hands, I was ashamed for the misplaced lust... I'd lost out on something far, far more important. In the end these are just watches. People are far more important. Never forget that.

Thanks for setting the example Tribal!

@Sogeha those aren't much different than what I drive every day!

Ahhhhhh now we're getting somewhere. Those CGs are much much better. I'd like to see a pic from the 3:00 side to see how the small crown fills its opening. And did you change the bezel? Its profile looks much better. [emoji1360]

We've talked about them at length. Tons of good information here: https://rwg.cc/search/?q=ndtrading

That's what I'm wanting, a source for those round top center links. I can take one out of a donor Yuki Rivet band that's being sacrificed for parts, but I'd rather not.
