  1. This one for a few days, she deserves some exercise. Sporting a nice addition from none other than Ubiquitous. What a great guy.
  2. Ahhhhhhhh that's better. That crown looks great on there!
  3. This plaque we placed for Patrick really says it all. He died doing what he loves best, seems like lots of us here do. Now if we could figure out how to make this puppy portable, we'd be at parity with the bears.
  4. Hah. The only reason I'd bring that along would be to shoot myself once the mauling started. My preference is a Mossberg 12ga with 3" magnum slugs and that's still not enough. Four or five of those will slow a brown bear down, but he's still going to have the last word in the discussion.
  5. Yeah, one of my rules of thumb is Never Own Anything Smarter Than You. Hence my Rover with 10 moving parts and a hand crank to start it. [emoji56]
  6. Dang, Ubi ... every time I see that it's prettier. Absolutely magnificent.
  7. "Stay safe" Notice I'm up on my deck... it's just crazy with wild critters this year. We've got bears around the house, on the deck, in the garage, in my wood pile, in the road, we've got moose running around tearing up trees, 2 people just got chased off the mountain above me by brown bears, over in the next valley a guy was just killed by a brown bear, and the search party that found him was attacked and one of the searchers lost his leg. I usually don't think twice about going climbing but this summer has me feeling pretty cautious. So... wristies from the deck!
  8. Hello from the land of the midnight sun!
  9. Hello from the bear infested mountains of Alaska!
  10. Paging @dbane883 .............. and @cc33 ................ Let's see 'em, boys!
  11. Let me elaborate a little: I have a Submariner from 1958 and it looked like it was relumed with a paint roller. It was horrific. Being in desperate need of a service, I sent it off to the expert of experts, and he gave it his Midas touch. He's also a fine artist and I asked if he could remove the crap lume and redo it right? He agreed and he did his best work on it. I've worn it for years since he retired and enjoyed every minute. Until I saw the lume work you did. It's better than our long gone maestro. Seriously. That's a hell of a result you achieved.
  12. Man I dunno.... Does it come with a Thin Red Line?
  13. Ok if Domi publicly advertises that email addr then that's fine. Thx for the update.
  14. Yes, this gentleman posted a link in our Links section but is not in fact a Trusted Dealer here. We're having a talk about it behind the scenes. Until then, caveat emptor!
  15. Wow, that's nice work. Beautiful job.
  16. What a stunner. That came out gorgeous! I wore my 1675 GMT on an aftermarket Jubilee for years and just couldn't like it. Something was off. Then a very generous chap here gave me a genuine Jubilee and it's like magic. It works even though there's no visible difference between the two. There's something about the gen that your brain will recognize even if your eye doesn't. Jubilees are still cheap on fleabay, see if you can find one before the prices go up. The difference is remarkable.
  17. .....and the entire watch hobbying world pauses for a moment and looks toward the west, holding their breath......
  18. Okay I'm just going to go throw all my watches in the landfill. That Patek is sooooooooooooooooooooo unbelievably gorgeous.
  19. Thank you to all who have served.
  20. it's funny what this hobby does to us. We're raving about only spending $10 on something that really should be $.75
  21. That crystal is gorgeous!! Its profile looks just like the tropic 39 that I cut down for my Frosty Flake build. Very nice and 1/30th the price. Here's the CWP for comparison, at 10x the price.
