  1. Agree about the AP 33mm. Rose Gold, quartz, well built as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Got my Jubilee repaired with a new link, and wearing the 6542 today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. From the looks of that boat, he can certainly afford a couple of AP's!!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Both make great straps. I have several SMPLover straps and he is a good guy to work with and his straps fit my ROO's perfectly. I converted three of my ROO's to the newer 20mm straps with the tang buckles, and it's amazing how much better they feel than the 18mm with Deployants. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. That's great!! Two very nice watches. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. In that case if the 7016 is a replica, buy them both!! Can't go wrong with a gen Tudor, prices will only go up over time. p> Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. I have never had any dealings with the OP, so I really don't have a "dog in this fight" I believe that my friend Legend very succinctly summarized the situation. A heartfelt apology to Toro, and a pledge that he will never under any circumstances repeat his prior actions would go a long way to defuse this situation. I also am very glad that Mike on a Bike has weighed in as a voice of reason here. Guys sometimes folks make bad decisions, often on the spur of the moment, a little too much alcohol, frustration, and in some cases such as this a totally pissed off headstrong significant other who took it upon herself to right what she considered a wrong. I can sympathize to a point, as I am married to a beautiful lady, who has her own ideas about what should be done in any situation, one reason I never ever let her know what is going on until the problem is solved! She may give me a Royal ass chewing if I screw up, but I would rather have her chewing on me than a bunch of folks who may be impacted by a hasty decision.. I don't advocate just saying " let bygones be bygones" and just blithely continue on, but if the person is truly sorry, I am not and advocate of a draconian punishment. I cannot speak for the other forums, they have their own rules and rule makers, but this is RWG and hopefully we can work through this and move forward. I am sorry that this happened to Toro, he is a good guy and a valued member of this community. I know that he has suffered from this and it affects a lot of members who deal with him. A lesson learned to all, a Paypal dispute has far reaching consequences, well beyond the individual member's attempt to solve a problem. There are protocols that have to be followed when there are disputes, and those avenues MUST be pursued, period. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. I really like them both if it were me, I would get the 7016. Older and I love the old dials. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Beautiful country and this photo is really great!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I have the RG RC model that was updated in 2012 or 13. It's very nice. The question is how close to gen is yours compared to the updated version? Our friend Legend is doing some fantastic mods, shaving the tachy ring, and changing the cyclops position and adding a different DW, also overhauling the movement and adding an ETA mainspring. Hopefully he will see this thread and weigh in. Hi motto is "let no ROO become a paperweight"!!! Could you post some photos of your watch? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. 1680 today Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. They are very good. You would need to use a diamond tester to tell that they are CZ's Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Personally, I think the Rose Gold AP is a very nice watch. I bought one for my wife about 7-8 months ago and she really likes it. Several other members who are vastly more knowledgeable about AP's also purchased the same model for their wives, significant other. It's Quartz, which most women prefer, because there aren't all of the "rituals" associated with mechanical watches (winding, setting time and date) Things we as WIS enjoy, but most women are not interested in. Here is the one I bought for my wife
  14. Let us not forget all of those innocent people who perished on this date 14 years ago.
  15. I agree with Mike, While we all try to be civil and as helping as possible, we really don't have time for folks who are mean, vindictive and just down right assholes. I would expect that trhe majority of people who act like that are more than likely suffering from low self esteem, beaten down at work at play and at home. Their only outlet is the anonymity of the internet. These people can be as mean and nasty as they want to be, because they have no fear of having their front door kicked down and some guy storming in and beating them to the inch of their lives. The internet allows cowards to be big and brave and mean, but in the end, they are just small people in a big people world. absolutely no use for these folks here are anywhere else for that matter.
  16. There are tons of great genuine 16610 -16613 parts available, however since the 116610 is a lot newer, I would expect that gen parts are a lot scarcer and a lot more expensive. Mymanmatt can build a fantastic 16613 using a lot of gen parts, don't know if he can find gen parts to build a 116613. AFA the movements, the Powermatic 80 is a slow beat movement. The gen 3135 is not. If it were me, I would use the yuki 3135, get it serviced and use it. It will also accept a gen DW and hands. Here is my 16613 that Matt built for me. Gen dial, Crystal, crown insert and an 18k aftermarket bezel. Mine has an ETA movement. You may also notice in the reflection, the sides of the center links are gold, not the tell tale stainless. . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. AFA the choice of low beat movements, the Powermatic 80 is the way to go. The other Alternative is a converted ETA 2824 movement using some 2846 parts. I haven't had good luck with these as the two I have had both have been very unreliable, sometimes gaining 30 minutes to and hour per day!! Both of them were put together by guys that were supposed to know what they were doing. I think that Legend would concur as he has had problems with these converted movements as well. Another factor is you are going to have to find a good ETA 2824, as well as the parts from a 2846, service and labor so may not be a cheap alternative in the long run. 18. Legend my friend, congrats on your four years here on RWG. You have been a huge asset to this forum, and a true gentleman as well. Proud to count you as a friend. And now to the wristie!! Same as yesterday, another right wrist day Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I agree with Mike, Legend is the guy who can give you the "skinny" on those two. From what I've read, the V8 is essentially a V7 with the decorated movement and open case back. If it were me, I would opt for the V7 and replace the movement with a Powermatic 80. That is a terrific watch and a really good movement. I have never been a fan of dive watches with open case backs. Hopefully Legend will weigh in here and give you his take on the differences. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. I believe that the one you are looking at is pretty nice. However I doubt seriously the movement is a gen SWISS ETA, and if it is, it will be and old movement that has not been serviced and may have a bunch if Chinese clone parts. If it were me and I wanted to get the best, I would try to find this watch with the cheapest movement possible, then send it to one of our good modders and have them replace the movement with a serviced yuki 3135, a gen date wheel and hands and a gen Crystal if possible. If you wanted to mod it further, a gen dial.now you have one that is about as good as it gets. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. As usual my friend, you come through with another beautiful example. That Blue themes is one good looking watch. Absolutely beautiful! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. not much watch love right now! Left arm in a brace for 2 more weeks, and I'm having a hard time finding any of my watches that are comfortable on my right wrist. Can't wait til this thing comes off!!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Nice little collection, and those are neat travel cases. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
