  1. Any ETA clone should be fine and will have the same BPH as a gen Rolex with a high beat movement. If they aren't charging any more for the decorated A2824 then it should be fine but I wouldn't pay any extra for it. The low beat 21j DG2813 has proven to be a reliable workhorse and can be replaced for 20 bucks if something happens to them. It's a lower BPH than modern model Rolexes though at only 21600 bph instead of 28800. In general I haven't had very many issues with the standard 2824/2836 ETA clones.
  2. First movement is just a decorated ETA clone, the second is kind of a misnomer, I don't believe there actually is a High beat 2813, I believe the movement they are referring to is the DG4813
  3. There are reviews areas on all of the suppliers threads for this very reason if you do a little searching.
  4. Those look like F16s from Eilson flying over the Tanana river. Do you happen to know the location of the photos? I guess they could be from Elmendorf as well though.
  5. I agree with these fellows on the diamonds, but I thank you for the quality post and feedback for Andrew. Looks like you had a pleasant experience!
  6. They are only glued on or held by pieces of dial dot. It's easy to misalign the DWO if you aren't careful. It's kind of a shitty way to fix the date problem but until someone makes an ETA date disc with the overlay built into it, that's what we have to put up with.
  7. Exactly what these fellows have said, the dials for two-tone cases sell slower, that silver one will go in a flash, I'm wearing a franken with the same dial on my wrist as we speak. I bought several before I found the one I wanted to use and had no problems selling any of the others I had. The black will go fast as well, and the silver linen ones are pretty desirable too.
  8. Going to be really difficult for me not to buy your next sub. Will we ever see a sub no date TC?
  9. Just be sure to put some tape on the top of the lugs where you will be working on loosening the bezel to help avoid scratches.
  10. If you can find the BK modded BP GMT-C, it is by far the best one out there. They used to go for over 500.00 new but you can find them around the forums occasionally.
  11. Arrrggghhh can't access Yuki site through work firewall.

  13. Start by reading this thread from last year http://www.rwg.cc/topic/158312-super-reps-for-2013/?hl=+superrep In my opinion, the Explorer 1, Noob Explorer 2, BP GMT-2 C BK modded, and TC V6 sub are among the best. The new noobfactory Datejust 2 models are pretty damn good as well.
  14. +1 this gentle man is correct. They are way easier to adjust too. At work and need an adjustment, just unbend a paper clip and you are good to go. The news one are a pain the ass and the only thing I like about them is the half link fold out fine adjustment.
  15. Gen on right, reps can never get that tight, sunken in SEL fitment.
  16. As long as the base movement has been confirmed as accepting gen parts I am fine with putting the money into gen upgrades for it. Thanks for doing all of this testing. How does the movement run with the gen parts?
  17. I can not wait to have my hands on one of these!
  18. This is the Noobfactory Explorer 2 Still have both of them sir!
  19. The only thing that watch could result in is a mugging by thugs that don't know any better.
  20. That was another thing that stood out to me as well. The insert on all of the reps I have seen is almost white. This one has the gen platinum look for sure.
  21. I have to say, I like SEL fitment on the GMT. It gets my vote for GEN. The pictures aren't good enough to see the handstack but it seems to be CHS.
  22. I have the GMT-C from BK and the sweep hand on mine doesn't touch. I think it's just the angle of the watch in this photo.
