The good dealers are really not bad, but we hold our dealers to certain standards and we can help if something goes wrong. In case you are wondering, neither the forum nor I get anything at all from the dealers by way of commission or incentives. I have bought plenty of cheaper watches from Ali and da Gate, but for the slight difference in price I would personally buy higher end reps from a TD that can be held accountable. The vast majority of members on the rep fora will tell you the same

I wouldn’t recommend buying from DH Gate in your situation. Generally the reps are of lower quality at a lower price, which is fine if that is what you want, but will they resend the watch if Customs do take it?

I’m guessing you didn’t pay a lot for it, you might be better treating it as an fun while it lasted. If you like the style get a good version that would be more worthwhile to keep serviced and repair if necessary

I think the watch market hasn’t been super heated for long enough. The car game definitely has a wave, you look at the forty to fifty year old guys and work out what cars were hot when they hit puberty, then buy them.
