I will not buy it/them  ...unless there is a great looking but not expensive version :bangin: ..there has just been so many versions of this watch and the level of QC these days is so low it may be even more waiting involved than anticipated...but hope to be proven wrong

I'm interested to see how well it is replicated, but I can honestly say that this is the one watch I would never want to own.

Saddle on a monkey? Pig in a party dress?

C'mon guys!!! I tried on the gen last week and the watch is just ridiculous :whistling:

What's the attraction? What are you seeing?

Well, I think this is by far, the best looking thing Omega has ever released (I actually don't own any Omega, rep or gen). It's definitely a man's watch, there's no mistaking it. It's like wearing a tonka toy on your wrist. Oddly, they have this watch on display at the jewelers near where I work and I've shown this watch to a few women and my buddy in the military and they all thing it's a bit of a joke. Well, I still love it. :p

The PloProf is cult....its history and its a designed chunk to dive.

The watch smells like 70ies, long curly hair and and tight bell-bottoms. The design is unique and we will see a bigger hype in the coming years....some 10 years ago I was laught at when I had my Panerai on, in 1999 when I bought my first Panny the people stared at it and wondered how someone can wear such a huge monster-watch and why it is sooo big but only tells the time....now you see what we have with OP :pardon:

This watch is just another simple watch but has a huge appearance.

If the price is right and the quality excellent....I will pull the trigger for it.

PloProf is the Hummer of wristwatches. Way too clumsy and a bit tasteless (depending on your viewpoint) Most hate it, some love it.

I like it but I doubt I'll be buying. But it'll be interesting to see how well it's going to be done.

Great way to describe it BT thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

Yes it is ugly. The PloProf is all about function, not form.

The odd case share is a result of the crown guard and the bezel-turning safety. The sapphire bezel with the luminous numbers, the orange minutes hand, the contrasting dial with the long indexes are there to maximize the visibility regardless of the conditions.

If there is something you don't like on it, it is probably because it is not there to be liked, but because of a function it serves.

Precisely, it is a tool watch, but, I think one which could only be worn whilst working as an industrial diver, not on dry land. I'd always considered the DSSD to be a similar kind of 'work only' watch, but some of the wristshots are changing my mind about that, but I'm not sure if the Ploprof could make that same transition... :pardon:
