my trial combination applied some iodine with a fine brush to the 12 and 9 indices (originally bright marshmallow white markers) then baked in the toaster oven on medium... any black specks on the indices are because it accidentally fell in toaster crumbs this dial already had the matte treatment from when i was testing that out the 9 and 12 are a pinker brown/ which i'd actually call 'peach' colored, the other markers are a result of the baking. only thing i dont like about baking it is the white writing also turns a bit dulled and browned...not too bad but not sure if it give it away as being baked. so i'd use iodine to achieve that brighter peach color first. then also bake it. if you use just iodine its way too orange/brown, baking dulls it and evens the application. maybe theres some pretoective thermal film or something that will preserve the brightness of the writing when baking. (the color in the pic IS accurate to what i see with my eyes -NO color shift in the pic) the matte treatment looks slightly odd because when i applied it the dial was dirty

Project wrap up; Rolex 5514

these cases are the only ones ive seen with one crucial often over looked detail that IS correct, but NOTICED by avid collectors...the length of the middle stroke in the letter 'E' in the case engravings... compare with ALL other reps, EVEN the $1200 NDT case is INCORRECT with this regard. -
yes, i believe Ubi had something to do with it. perhaps some iodine was used in this process. I know the hands were brewed up by Ubi. as for a recipe, there's lots of ideas floating around. some i've heard: iodine on the indices 30min cigar smoke in a glass (too stinky im thinking) baked/broiled in a toaster over for x amount of time baked on a halogen lamp finish it off with some matte krylon spray. I have an MBK 5513 dial im going to try a method on. probably an iodine/baking combo, hopefully i can still sell it afterwards maybe attempt this weekend if im not too busy.

the MBK dial is a very specific MAXI one, there are so many variations i've found with the 5513 gen dials, i personally dislike the choice they made with the MBK 5513 dial but it's not incorrect per se. Yukis are good at $140 and that would probably be my choice. NDT will cost you $220...not sure if it's worth the $90 more. try modding up the stock MBK one first and see how that makes you feel. bake it and matte it.

retailers make $0 from hardware sales of apple products, the money is made in selling their accessories for said pod which have tremendous markups... I was surprised to see that bestbuy makes literally 1000% off of their HDMI cables and about 60% off of monster cables which to tell you the truth arent actually as good as bestbuys own branded cables "rocketfish" in terms of printed specs...in the real world -running the cable from your bluray player to your tv you wouldnt notice any difference in the digital age anyways. back to flash, only reason adobe isnt developing it , is because theyre not invited to do so, which is why theyre developing for the android, but if apple was fully supportive of their efforts theres a market for it so it would be done, much like how theyre creating action script installers for the ipodOS (CS5) but they wont waste resources and a potential suit making flash run on the ipod if apple doesnt want it or make it just for the jailbreakers

THATS a nice one!

this actually looks like a really good rep. played with the gen at the AD many a time

I finally checked one out today for real. It was exactly what i thought it would be. a giant touch slightly too wide to type with your thumbs while holding it, the screen had too much glare and was rather pale for reading ebooks on, and the device was really hot and surprisingly uncomfortable in my hands. it is sad that it costs $800 for something that doesnt have SD or usb or flash, which you dont really realize how often its used until you try and browse on a touch a notice how many embedded menus or interactive material rely on this platform, so dont throw out your pc just yet if you want a full browsing experience that is actually web standard compliant. Steve jobs official excuse for lacking in flash "it wastes too much battery" (guess they learned their lesson from how much 3gs and wifi rape the battery) i should get a job at apple cause i have a revolutionary idea for them, get this... the option to disable or enable flash in the browser via the browser settings... well anyways , theres some horse beating in here YES it will sell (which makes me wonder exactly why the Zune failed), but i dont understand why, when you can get a netbook for half the price and four times the value; a web standard compliant browser, full pdf reader, SD slot, USB, built in webcam, a user replaceable battery, expandable memory, blah blah blah, well you've heard this all before. make an informed decision, and leave the pad buying to your wife.

2846 is slow beat but should be compatible with the 2824 same ligne size.

personally i think the print is very sloppy/incorrect (size, thickeness) and wouldnt believe it was gen. i do love the 16800 despite it being the most 'unpopular' sub ref tho.

the MBK dial is great stuff, here's my stock mbk white dial in an mbk project im currently working on YUKIs which def' has the better indices, the rest is very similar MBK is about 1/2 the price according to ETz cached site, once MBK reopens and i can regain contact with the shop owner I can get you prices on individual dial prices, until then nothing coming out of MBK for anybody

Noticed YUKI has some new versions of dials in stock even Rolex ones to fit ETA now along with the hands any comment on the accuracy of their new 5513 dial in particular?
