  1. As others have said a PayPal dispute is a ban-able offense on the major rep boards. Never file one until a moderator approves it. Never even threaten one. Obviously you've gotten a lot of negative feedback, so you now know how wrong that tactic is viewed here. Problems will happen from time-to-time. You'll need to learn to accept that sometimes things don't go smoothly if you want to stay in this hobby. Trusted Dealers are trusted for a reason, and the board moderators have direct contact to them. They will help you resolve your issue. Rarely is there a problem that can't be solved. Many "problems" from people new to the rep game involve either mis-communication, lack of patience, or an unfamiliarity with the reality of how the rep world really works. Most of the time people over-react to what's really happening and things spiral out of control when they don't have to. You should have kept this private until after going to the moderators. This procedure for handling issues with TD's is widely reported throughout all the major boards. If you didn't know this, then you haven't spent enough time looking around.
  2. Well, for the movement to be doing that this quickly after purchase, I would contact TC to get it resolved before sending off for service. Shouldn't be doing that out of the box.
  3. No backdoor selling. Post a sales thread if you want to sell a watch.
  4. PM a mod when you are having trouble with a TD.
  5. DW going away made the franken 62xx builds go way up in price if you want to use a v72. Wish he wouldn't have been so flakey at the end and disappeared. His case sets were great for the money.
  6. Mine's not the best either, but she gets plenty of wrist time ...
  7. The jubilee bracelet makes the watch look vintage. Personally, I would never do it, but if you like it then go for it.
  8. I have always been a big fan of Revo.
  9. Not sure what parts you are looking for, but I sold a BCE to JProdigy over on RG that he needed parts from (as opposed to the whole watch). Might want to PM him and see if he has what you need.
  10. ^^ what he said. You can't compare the two watches because they are of different models altogether. There are no "major flaws" in the TC Sub. Minor one's, sure, but it's by far the best 16610 rep on the market. Same with the noob 116610, although IMO there are more flaws in it than the TC. BK does a great job in upgrading the 116610 if that model is your preference.
  11. Listen to MyManMatt ... he's the DJ expert!
  12. Especially when a NIB service insert can be had for $150.
  13. The meaning of life is happiness. Can't take credit, I got that one from the Dalai Lama. The real question then becomes "What makes you truly happy?"
  14. "Would you like to tie me up with some of your ties, Ty?" Favorite Bill Murray movie, and why?
  15. VVVVVVVV - Look down there - VVVVVVVV
  16. As far as watches go, the only watches I have ever worn that anyone commented on were my Rolex frankens. I don't do blingly or overly large watches though.
  17. Can be done, but requires quite a bit of work. I have seen several franken posts mentioning that Domi did their builds. I would probably start there.
  18. Nice build ... happy wife, happy life ... or so I've been told.
  19. Well, the Matrix was all about a computer virus, but if you are really asking if we are really living in a massive computer simulated world, I'll take a crack at it, as it has been going through my mind a lot lately. To preface ... I am not a religious person by nature, so I guess you would call me agnostic in that respect. I am a big believer in faith however, and base my faith mostly on Judeo-Christian teachings. IMO, the world needs more faith and less religion. There would be a lot less war in the world without it. Since I come from that background, I am monotheistic (one God or 'supreme being' as it were). Many other religions follow this thought too, so if you share that philosophy, it would not be a stretch to believe that we are really all just 'living' in a really advanced version of The Sims. The entity playing the game is the "supreme being", makes the underlying rules, and let's the program run. It can stop, restart, change the rules, etc. It would also explain the "Big Bang" and why there appears to be so much order in the physical world and mathematics. Q: Who is your favorite character actor?
  20. Many times ... two most notable. Had a girlfriend killed by a drunk driver while I was away skiing. Dated a girl in high school that I would have married in a heartbeat that kept me in the friend-zone. Q: Why does it seem OK in society now to take the scorched earth approach to solving social problems?
  21. I used WSO's 580 endlinks with an old MBW 93150 on my 5514 build and they fit well. I used HH's case though.
  22. Yes, I consider myself very fortunate in that respect. It really came out to about the same as I would have spent completing the build I was in the middle of, and I saved a lot of time and frustration of getting outbid for donor watches on eBay. She's still not done though. I have a couple of tweaks left to do, including swapping the caseback for a 6263, and perhaps replacing the pushers and crown. I would love to find a better dial too due to the flaw at 12 minutes (which surprisingly doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would). The old school DW dials really are excellent. Finding anything better these days pretty much means going gen I think, but I don't remotely have the budget for that. That's what the forum is all about ... sharing intel ... This is not a build for the faint at heart, so good luck on your project.
