  1. Whoopy does excellent dials. If he takes the project on, I'm sure they will be done well. Here's his standard Explorer dial:

  3. Me too .... I will try to resend.
  4. What case are you trying to fit it into? You're probably going to be OK in a 160xx case, but not in a 162xx case.
  5. PBdad is in CA, but he has an outside watchsmith do his movement work so it takes a little longer. I have also used misiekped for movement work. He is great and also in US.
  6. Wore this last night. Movie was good, but not great. I would rank it third in the reboot series, behind Skyfall and Casino Royale and ahead of Quantum of Solace.
  7. When Ubi posts one of his Pateks, we're all playing for second place ...
  8. Thanks for the 5514 case ...
  9. Cwazy (RWG) did my Comex dial, but I think he's also out of the game. PBdad did nice work on my 1016.
  10. If it helps ... here is the last T21 I bought: And here's what it looks like with a WatchNY bezel on a DW v72 Case:
  11. Or check with MyManMatt.
  12. Hard to say, since you don't have pictures of the actual watch, but certainly south of $2000, or you could just buy this one. http://forums.watchuseek.com/f29/fs-cartier-roadster-vegas-dial-2402722.html
  13. sorry ... typo .... re-lume.
  14. Well, the picture you posted is lifted from here, so I'd run if I were you. http://howtobeswell.com/2013/01/31/the-cartier-roadster/ Not to mention it looks fake compared to this one on Chrono 24: http://www.chrono24.com/en/cartier/roadster-automatic-model-2510-las-vegas-dial--2nd-bracelet--id2397673.htm
  15. No doubt it will be great, and you've picked a good person to send it to. Misiekped did a wonderful job on my 5514 build. Can't recommend him enough.
  16. I always liked the ingod44 Space Dweller dial the best, but he appears to be gone now, so Yuli's is the best current option. If I had my Explorer to do over again, I'd use a JMB case instead of the gen 16014 case I did use. He does great work, and it's an amazing offering for anyone that wants to build an Explorer. If you are going to swap hands, go with TC's. Also I'd get the dial re-limed to match when you do.
  17. Not necessarily. I would ask Josh to be sure, but with most reps, the case is built for the movement that goes in it, so swapping in a movement that is a different size is not going to work (easily) unless the two movements are basically the same size. A 2813 is 5.4mm in height. The 2824 is 4.6mm or 4.7mm depending on which one you get. The 2836/2846 are 5.1mm which is closer. They also have higher cannon pinions. It might mean the case is the same. Regardless, just swapping a movement ring is not going to let you use the 2824-2. The heights are wrong. Also, just want to make sure you know the A2813 hands won't work either.
  18. You may be thinking of Watch NY. http://www.ebay.com/sch/watchny/m.html?_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1
  19. The two best that are closest to you are Dominico (Domi) and SSTEEL.
  20. Wearing one of my few non-franken reps today.
  21. Only he's not building a 5513 guys ... he's building a Tudor Sub using a 5513 case.
  22. The stem heights are different because the movement is thicker to accommodate the day wheel, and no, it can't be changed. Overall height of a 2824-2 is 4.7mm; 2836-2 is 5.2mm. The DG 2813 (A21j) is 5.4mm. Don't have the stem heights off the top of my head.
