  1. I kinda think this is the same SSD from before that he just never took down. Seems like people have been trying to order this for the last year or so.
  2. Never had a tomarto. They grow in China?
  3. The ceramic Sub has a different pearl. I don't know of any aftermarket offerings that are equivalent.
  4. Good looking kids Donerix. Glad to see they're into quality watches.
  5. Sorry, couldn't resist!
  6. Check the part in the circle. On many, if not all clones, that portion is flat rather than curved. Just one way to spot the differences.
  7. Fortunately for me I've been banned from using his sites. He's the only negative feedback I've ever left on eBay. His attitude sux and most of his stuff sux.

    battery?

    Google is your friend: http://chbwholesale.com/batteries-d.asp?Cat=Watch+movements
  9. DRSD gen has a bi-directional bezel I'm pretty sure. You'd be better off getting that movement serviced than sending it back to China and hoping it comes back better. Particularly if it's one you plan on keeping. One of my gen 2836-2's sounds like yours. When it's low on power reserve it runs slow and when you fully wind it, it runs fast. It took me a week of trying to adjust it to figure that one out. Only thing to help it is a servicing.
  10. I would imagine you'll have the same problem as trying to put one in a GMTIIC. Without changing the height size of the hand pins, you'll never have room for the date wheel overlay to fit and the hands to clear the dial markers.
  11. 2892-2 in a WM9 v3. Fit's like a glove.
  12. I takes little push pins. They look just like little rivets. Any watch repair guy should have them or you can buy them online.
  13. That gen crown on the dial sure does look better.
  14. Would a coronet of a gen DJ dial work on these. I'm sure there are a few unused and scratched dials around.
  15. I've got the same one with the fluted bezel and gen bracelet and I have close to $1,000 in parts. I would price mine at $1200 if I were to sell it. With the new higher prices of gen Rolex parts, I think that's a very fair price.
  16. That's a pretty clever way to sell a bad replica on eBay and get away with it. It's currently at $405.
  17. Are you sure the crown isn't just unscrewing on the stem when you are turning the crown CCW? It would seem logical since that's the way you set the time forward and tightening it would be the time going backwards. Also, I doubt you could fix the internal workings of a crown if it's wiggly.
  18. I agree the rehaut looks terrible. But regardless, I'd never buy an expensive item from someone that had 0 feedback
  19. Or he could have gotten gun shy after too many e-mails, too many questions, and negotiating a lower price than he was comfortable with. Too many times lately, people have been buying watches and then immediately finding fault and trying to beat down the seller even further. I for one, would be very careful these days as to whom I was dealing with. I have no idea what went on between you two and you may be totally above board. But it is possible that he decided against you as a buyer. Or not. Just something to think about.
  20. Since apparently they do make that type of dial, the only way is too open the back and take a look inside.
  21. Even the bracelet looks all wrong. The links are too long and too flat, unless it's just terribly stretched and the picture makes it look off. On every DJ I've seen the "Datejust" is on the top of the dial right below the Rolex. And the "Superlative chronometer", etc. on the bottom. Could be real with aftermarket bling added, who knows. I still thinks that's a very ugly dial personally. Looking through Google images I did see a couple of similar looking dials but they were all on reps.
  22. Damn, that's one ugly watch. Nothing close to real about that one.
  23. My guess is that he won't have it in stock. Over all it looks pretty decent to me. A little massaging of the crown guards would help. The DW looks pretty normal to me other than the date not being perfectly centered. But with no cyclops you can hardly see the date on an SD anyway. And it doesn't mean that the one you get is going to be like that.
  24. There's a nice Daytona review that was just done here. http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/noobfactory-rolex-daytona-116520-black-88478.html?t=88478 Plus the watch is listed for sale. It looks very nice.
  25. I'm currently stuck on my SS white faced DJ. I put it on about 3 weeks ago after replacing the dial and haven't taken it off since. It's knocked the Pam 288 off my wrist for a while. I don't care if it is "an old man's watch". I find it iconic and I'd forgotten how comfortable the DJ can be after wearing a Pam for a while..
