I have to say that they are doing a great PR job on this project. I find myself almost proud to be backing it. They have really done well to keep people in the loop on progress and make them feel a part of the process. Backing an up and coming company is cool....getting a nifty product out of it is even better.
Looks like the HE valve on the gen is at 49 minutes while the rep is at 51. Overall it is a great looking rep, I love mine. I am surprised at how many differences there are. Thanks for the review and congrats on the new addition
Apparently the gen lume is aqua in colour. Have a look at the gen vs. rep sub-c review HERE The lume shot is down a bit but it is pretty clear for the colour.
Also looking forward to this one. It is always difficult to go back and watch movies from the past that relied heavily on special effects to convey the image of the film. The only exception to this I can think of is the Star Wars franchise. Anyway, at the time Tron was an amazing movie and I loved it. I still watch the DVD from time to time with my son (who is 3) and he likes it too. So I am anxious to see what they have done with it...I hope it is not a disappointment. Adds look great!
Nice work. I am amazed it is as close as it is. Of course it is more difficult to see the quality differences in the photos, as you said. But WOW! Makes me like mine even more knowing how good it is. Thanks for this!
I think both have their aesthetic pros and cons but for me (relative noob to rollies) the 16610 looks a little slim for it's intended purpose. The 116610 gives the sub a little more beef making it look more the part of a tool watch IMHO. They are both great watches so I wouldn't be able to choose one over the other. Instead I'd get both
Like others have said, if you're not feeling it then it is probably good idea to let it go. It could come to the point where you resent it for the cost invested if you really don't grow to like it. Then you may feel guilt, further compounding the gap. Also, if you are truly not feeling it then you won't miss it when it's gone. So all said...let me know if you want to sell it ....
Before you cut, what exactly do you mean by the watch head sits too far away from you? Do you think the clasp is pulling it away??? I have never experienced that myself. Typically I try to keep the same number of links on each side of the clasp. That way it is centered on the bottom and the head is centered on the top. If it sits to one side or another I cannot believe that the clasp is pulling it. So before you cut I would just try to remove the extra link you have on the other side and see how that goes. Should balance everything out.
