  1. Tony's thread inspired me to put the 2915 back on canvas:
  2. Extremely well-chosen shade of green. Nice one, Tonyyammine!
  3. 6239, soon to be back on rivets. I almost sweat through the ostrich leather today!
  4. cc33: Fantastic macros, as usual! Friday Flowers and Fathoms:
  5. That's nothing. I've been waiting to use my black DW 6239 dial since 2011!
  6. Good Sunday for Daytonas!
  7. It's thanks to those guys that we see all the "Help! My Daytona is losing 3 seconds a day!" threads on gen forums... Great job, automatico. A true frankenstein movement in the classic definition!
  8. Excellent! I used to swim with a 1016 on a green Timefactors NATO. Unfortunately, I seem to have misplaced that particular strap...
  9. Loving the details on this Fifty Fathoms i.e. the barely-visible ridges on the outer portion of the dial:
  10. Happiness is a sapphire bezel.
  11. gran: Wow! I love the finishing work on old American railway watches.
  12. Fifty Fathoms. The OLD one:
  13. Definitely a 22. Thanks for the movement shot!
  14. Thanks! Tribute to Polaris is also one of my dream watches. Unfortunately, every year I don't buy one, the price seems to go up by another $2000! And your Heuer is gorgeous. Valjoux 22 or 23 inside?
  15. Congratulations, Ephry73! Good head of hair on that kid.
  16. And I still want a Vulcain Cricket GMT rep!
  17. I don't particularly care for the Hublot lineup, but I've always enjoyed reading, and now watching, JCB's interviews. I wish Hodinkee would have a regular feature with him. They could call it "Leave it to Biver".
  18. I also like to stop in and look at the merchandise at ADs, but unlike droptopman, I find it INCREDIBLY EASY to walk out without buying a watch. That's probably down to my incredible discipline and willpower, and nothing to do with my financial state... However, I've never had a problem with taking photos of the watches. I usually ask permission, pull out the Canon, and start shooting. The only times I've been prevented from taking pictures were at various rep sellers around Asia.
  19. Gorgeous. I'd be very interested to see a side-by-side with a gen, once it's available. It looks good right now, but I'm curious as to how closely the blue matches. Also, I would love to see the blue Black Bay with gilt hands/dial. Now who can I convince to take one in red and silver?
  20. Felsa Explorers! Amazing! Well done, J and StoneP.
  21. I was wearing my 1990 Germany jersey throughout this World Cup. (Don't worry, I washed it.) Very good effort by Argentina, but hooray for Germany!
  22. Thanks! It's by our very own mcotter!
