The blue is odd for sure. Probably 95% of the beasties will never even get wet, and of the other 5% a tool user will be timing with the bezel anyway. So I guess it's not a "hit" but also not a "miss". Bet it will strike up conversations with the fairer sex tho.....
I had the paint come off my Doxa bezel all the time. Clean it thoroughly with rubbing alcohol and paint black hobby paint over the numbers. When it's completely dry use a wood match stick to scrape the overpaint from around the numerals. Easy and fun to do. I used Testors black enamel.
