5512 Looking for a quality 5512 gilt dial for cal.1530
hologramet replied to eason's topic in General Discussion
Ruby and MQ use the same factory. MQ sometimes changes the coronets on some dials (e.g. Daytona), but other than that.. The gilt dials are from the same supplier. -

And even perfected the fake wear between the lugs and signatures in the caseback... -

Hi, There are several eBay sellers like Sogeha said. Also you cold try the contact I've sent you (several times). Ruby can help you with that kind of stuff no worries. Good luck! -
The MoD were practical. Ballistical nylon, welded lugs and all sorts of heavy duty stuff. The MN... had panache. Most comfortable "NATO" ever.

Thanks guys! Today I took my first walk downtown with the wife. I look like an 80s AIDS-victim, but at least I'm standing. Take care of your loved ones and don't forget show it!

Hi guys, I have to keep it short since I got tubes coming out of all sort of orifices. I've had long term health issues due to a chronic kidney disease. Now the latest development is i was just transferred from ICU to infectios diseases. I got hit hard by a septic shock with acute renal (just lost one of them), cardiac, hepatic and coagulatory failure. I'm much better now, but very weak, I have both deeper and superficial venous thrombosis in several limbs and lost about 8kgs. If you have any business with me, or have PMd for assistance. Please be patient, I will get back to you! /holo aka V

Is the little brother welcome? Herzog Vintage Horse... Highly recommended for 59EUR on eBay. Great quality.. Buy the light one and tone it to your choice...

I don't doubt that it's gen spec, Just saying that "aesthetically" I Think a padded strap would look much better on that model...

Looks quite sweet, love the color combo. However the strap should have been padded and the springbar holes closer to the case, the gap looks too big?

Does it look like the JF 16610LN at Trusty Time ?

I think trusty copy-pastes the same shizzle time and time again. It's wrong more than it's right. -
Looks great and fits better! Regarding cb, honestly, don't remember but I slimmed 1/2 mm through sanding/softening...

Want to build a 7928, what parts should i get?
hologramet replied to Champagnesky's topic in The Rolex Area
Can't say for sure, haven't bought any. But they look great and are available with a lot of different date stampings, at the same price (aprox 200USD) my guess is they should be >= better. -

Either that or smoke signals! -
This bracelet is actually quite good... https://puretime03.com/watch-brands/rolex/vintage-models/vintage-daytona/daytona-6263-ss-white-black-dial-black-tachymeter-bezel-on-ss-bracelet-venus-75.html I would change the clasp to a genuine one, that's about it.

Possible solution for indices on ceramic bezel
hologramet replied to altesporsche's topic in The Rolex Area
I'd take some acetone without oil, put a small amount on a cotton-wood-thingie (maybe that is called a Q-tip?). And out a tiny drop in every second dot, while you move watch around slightly circular so the metallic paint becomes "even" on walls and bottom in each hole. Of course changing Q-tip every now and then and give it a tiny bit of acetone once in a while. Otherwise excellent results! /The experimenter -
Is that a gen dial? Because it sure looks very-very-very good. The serifs are excellent in both clarity and look. White subprinting on indices. Awesome lume plots (ok, the 2'o'clock is almost perfect, but not 100%).. /Not so fluent in GMT6542
