  1. So? Building gives you more relationship to a watch. It gives you a higher emotional value to a watch. That's why I only build gensteins or gens. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. It's either gen or build for gold/TT watches.
  3. Gold wrapped means that a sheet of gold (usually ~.1 to .25 of a mm thick) is layered over the SS base metal. This is of course much thicker than the few microns of plating. So it's way more durable and doesn't fade as quick. Being a physical sheet, it can't be bent around corners so it can't be done on crowns, bezels or SELs. Whilst plating will fade quite quick, wrap is holding up longer but it's no insurance it doesn't fade. It can and it WILL fade.
  4. It'll fade quick. To OP: get a wm9 or build with solid gold parts and forget about all the other pre ceramic TT subs, they all suck. For ceramic there's a new release its off with bezel and dial but the gold is said to be wrapped. I don't know anything about the ceramic TT but you can take my word when it comes to pre ceramic Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. No one has yet mate. It has been posted on watch bus. Most likely the guy that posted it knows some new happenings before anyone else so I don't doubt it to happen. Just about question WHEN it's happening.. Looks like no Christmas presents from me this year if they release prechristmas.. I'll be bulk ordering lmao Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Looks good to me.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. WM9 will be hard to come by. Go with TC his are pretty bang on OTB.
  8. Great piece for a build man! Congrats on the score mate
  9. They won't ever produce something without flaws mate. If they correct this, they'll most likely screw something else up. That's how they make their business. If they did all perfect versions there would be people buying one version and that's it. No profit margin for them. Although I too think that this is a dead I doubt them to correct it. I've only seen one really almost perfect SEL bracelet and this was the one on the old WM9's. Imo that's your best bet to go if you want to go TT sub and not spend a fortune on building it with super specs..
  10. Looks really nice man, only needs a decent two piece bracelet imo [emoji106]
  11. Looks nice man.. I like it. Man those vintage pieces are growing on me more and more.....
  12. I know that pain way to well brother! Expensive but in the end it was so worth the long and costly journey.
  13. Can't wait to see it man! Congrats, you got some sick parts there mate..
  14. Wow how sad can one be?! As comber said, play with him
  15. Should be an easy fix for someone experienced. I don't think it running you much cost for it. While you're at it you could get the crystal replaced with a gen one too, it changes a lot buddy!
  16. First I doubt it to be really 18k gold filled (wrapped). It'll most likely be an identical process as the old WM9 TT's were. A thick 14k gold wrap / fill / plate (whatever you wanna call it lol) and over that a regular 18k gold plate. Also on about that 116613, the insert color is wrong as it already has been said above. And also the sides of the SEL is bare steel, which to me is a dead toss reason. Although they've done a good job on it considering the last tries of them replicating the 116613.
