  1. That bracelet is what jumps out at you, it looks very substantial! the EL really sets off the case IMO. Very nice choice.
  2. Real life overnight observations: First the lume is not bad... not nearly as bad as the awful low-light iPhone pic infers. (I will attach the original dealers photo for reference) At 2:00 am the lume was brilliant across the face, the minute markers, hour & minute hands and yes especially Snoopy, three hours later at 5:00 am the minute markers were still visible albeit barely, the hour & minute hands were easily readable and Snoopy still had his ear detail visible! So, while it will never be used by Commissioner Gordon to summon a certain Dark Knight, it is on par with my Tudor BB and better than some of my early PO models. Second, size matters. Earlier I wrote the Gen is 43.5mm and that was a mistake, the Gen is a 42mm model while the bezel of this watch is just over 44mm and the (very nice rubberized Nylon) strap is 22mm. Therefore it wears substantially larger than a Gen yet noticeably smaller than a 45mm PO. The caseback with the Snoopy Award is wonderfully done, in silver and enamel it looks awesome in close-up detail. The Gen Silver Snoopy Award watch also features a lumed tachymetre scale which would be a nice touch for a Ver. 2.
  3. Beautiful heirloom piece, never let it go.
  4. A little bit of whimsy mixed with an equal part of history yields the 2015 Omega Speedmaster Apollo 13 Silver Snoopy Award Limited Edition. This model is quartz and wears a little larger than the 43.5mm of the Gen, but it is all about the smiles it generates both from the wearer and those that take the time to notice... sadly the weakest part is the lume, I was hoping for a much brighter snoopy.
  5. Fresh out of the wrapper, still smells of the postman my dog thinks probably taste just like chicken:
  6. Respectfully snipped the comment above to express my sentiments as well... my round trip took considerably more time than PC, but I agree wholly, I would not do it again.
  7. Very nice, Dirk Pitt's first choice when headed into the water, or to save another damsel in distress.
  8. Awesome from any angle. I'm looking forward to a fabric shot one day... soon? maybe?
  9. Looking forward to your report... Have fun and no spoliers, we don't get to see the movie in the USA for another week.
  10. Done. Obviously all of these pictures were lifted from your May listing... I have had this happen with car sales on eBay many, many, many times.
  11. more proof positive of just how great this website and community can be. Members helping members, awesome!
  12. Just put it on a gry/blk NATO and no one will notice... I will probably wear the 6538 on a gry/blk strap, I figure if it's good enough for Craig on his day off it's good enough for me. A sort of homage to IMO the two best Bonds.
  13. SPECTRE premieres in the UK tomorrow October 26th and November 6th here in the USA, I thought it might be fun to post up which watch you wore to the premiere Omega? Rolex? or other? A sort of "Which watch.." with a twist (shaken, not stirred).
  14. Over at RWI there is a member that has purchased the Gen Seamaster SPECTRE 300 and posted some pictures, very nice and worth a visit if you want to see the real deal in the hands of a consumer. Just search: SPECTRE
  15. Great watch as well... it must be good to be "back in black."
  16. Beautiful, truly a beautiful piece. The piano black box is a nice touch also, the entire package seems to exude that certain something that says...money well spent. Enjoy it and if you ever, do keep me in mind for the short list. "... so just look at me now, I'm just making my play Don't try to push your luck, just get out of my way, causeI'm back ... back in Black."
  17. A thing of beauty, definitely a collectible worthy of consideration as a Gen. acquisition. In the interim: Has anyone found anything close to that Tudor fabric strap?
  18. Looks like an eBay special "VINTAGE ROLEX!!! ..lightly used, bezel may need tweaking"
  19. I lost one adjustment not two, I installed the buckle in the wrong orientation first time on; I knew something looked and felt wrong.
  20. I have looked for awhile to fulfill a particular need for my 392, a 22mm deployment buckle in Rose Gold that would work with a thick strap (+4mm). Happy to say I did find one and it seems to be quite a nice product! plus, it's available here in the USA. A well known if not dubious eBay seller (wholesaleoutlet990) has them and they work great! it will easily take a 5.5mm strap and surprisingly enough operate as they should, locking securely and opening easily, all for under $30. Be prepared they are HD and will take up space on your strap/wrist... I lost two adjustment holes. The center pivot / attachment is 7mm and required fitting to my strap. Available in brushed Rose, polished Yellow and brushed SS. The vendor says polished SS is available but I did not see it listed. THey are sterile with no logo or marking of any sort. Heres the eBay link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/22mm-DEPLOYMENT-BUCKLE-CLASP-THICK-3-5MM-5-5MM-STRAP-44MM-PANERAI-ROSE-A4-/171903361680?hash=item28063d2290
  21. Personally I opted for a different maker, I chose the KW version also listed as a Super Rep by ALE's PAM review guide. Of course everyone makes their own choices...
  22. Three months, three months after it was sent in for repairs my PAM 390 was finally returned to me yesterday. The dealer (KW-Kuvarsit Watch) was helpful through out the long wait, always polite and seemed genuinely concerned with resolving an issue with their product. I have no complaint with the long wait for a repair, in fact at least two weeks of that time was due to me choosing parcel post rather than priority service. I do not know what the repairs consisted of, but it appears to be running flawlessly after 24 hours, so now once again, I am one pleased customer. The primary reason for my follow up is to note the dealer name (KW) customer service rep. (Amanda) and that service was provided, when needed. I appreciated that help and want to recognize their commitment to their product line. Especially compared to other dealers, one in particular that when advised of a fault with a watch replied not just once but four times that I should "slap it hard three or four times and then wind it 30-35 turns and allow the movement to run-in". After the fourth canned response I decided to never again purchase a watch from that dealer... And I never will. "All's well that ends well".
