There are some documented examples of Rolex installing them on request...but the owner having to sign a waiver due to reduced strength. One of these sold at the big Rolex Antiquorum sale last year.

Welcome to the rep world. These types of things are part of your battle scars that you have to live through. I would send it back. Anybody who has spent anytime here buying reps has had to do this. It is likely a quick fix that any watchmaker can do...but if you don't have access to one locally...what are your options?

Usually a warranty period with the dealers is around 1-3 months depending on the issue. 6 months from what I understand would generally be considered out of warranty. Like Fakemaster said...contact Angus and tell him what part broke, and if he can get a replacement.

Like Brodie said, if you're stuck, you can see what's available on RWI or RG or the other forums. Some have had ok experiences with other modders, others have had nightmares...so it's kind of hit and miss. Servicing and modding as a requirement is the biggest turn-off I think, for entering the rep scene. If you have access to a resource that can do the work, you're set...if not, then you either have to buy pre-modded and hope you don't need servicing, learn to do things yourself, find somebody locally who can do things for you, or just treat things as disposable and let things run until they die, budgetting and hoping for 2 years or so of useful life (possibly more but 2 years is a good start point). Lume work is the toughest to find talent for, as it really is art, and the talent of the artist is what you're paying for...and that varies greatly from person to person. I know locally in Toronto, there seem to be quite a few resources that will work on rep watches...so I guess the other option is to move here.

...or is that crack down? As to size...looked a lot smaller than 45mm...OOOOH...you were talking about the watch... Yeah...some say measure the CASE from 10-4 only to avoid confusion of including the crown guards in the measurement...but you want to make sure not to include the lug horns either. You can measure from 9-3 too...just don't include the crown guards or the crown (winding thing).

That's a shame. I would consider sending it back for repair. You have an A7750, you should be able to use the chrono.

OK...do my eyes deceive me...or do we see a proper non-Happy Feet Omega logo, and the strike-through lettering through the MIDDLE instead of the bottom? Those are nice additions indeed!! I can't say I'm a fan of the constellation series...but it looks decent! Is it supposed to be Ti?

I think the real deciding factor is if there is some significance to the gen. Does it mark a special event, relative, etc...if so...definitely don't. That is irreplaceable. Otherwise...if it was just a nice watch...sell one and get a few nice watches.

That is beautiful. Why did the extra gears have to be installed for the chrono second hand? Is this because of gen hand compatibility?

...and as other threads have noted, you can always replace with a brand new ETA in bubble wrap with minimal effort as the case size, stem posititioning, hand sizes, etc will all be compatible. A sourced gen ETA movement from many of the better dealers can be had brand new and serviced properly in the factory bubble wrap for slightly more than the servicing of the rep movement...and will have absolute compatibility with gen parts, vs the potentially shoddy, dirty, refurbished and/or surplus eta movements that are put in when you pay for a gen swiss eta.

Good. I was thinking of doing the same...gen rubbers and rep OR buckle...but now I'm just doing my Di Modell Imperator on the Skyland. The non-Breitling strap makes the watch less chunky. The deployment makes it a bit beefy on the buckle side. What's happening in the land of sun? We've had freakin' SNOW here for a few days. Crazy.

I like that last shot too...maybe we need a new category of finger shots instead of wristies.

As far as I understand it, you can't buy the buckle separately. You have to buy the 24mm OR strap, and then swap out the buckle to other rubber pieces as required. That's why you see rubber pieces for sale occasionally here, as some people want to use the OR strap on the 22mm Breitlings...buying gen rubber 22mm pieces from wherever and using the rep OR buckle.
