  1. Beauty Jojo, a real beauty. I will start a sub project of my own one day and posts like this are invaluable help to people trying to decide which way to go. Well may you wear. Congratulations.

  2. Lovely piece. I'll leave the CG debate to others but my 1665 now has an Ubi datewheel and for me the MBW wheel screams rep. I know about the issues with it but for me the flat top 3 is a must.

Enjoy and wear it well whatever you choose to do.

  3. I am in total agreement with you.

Less is more rings true for so many more things than just watches, just like the example of the cars mentioned.

Whether it's the flavor of a fine wine, or the rests in between the notes of a Miles Davis solo, I am in admiration of understated elegance.

    Ni!

  4. Beautiful work, well done to both of you. Lets have completed photos from both at the end of the work and we can give marks out of 10 - all in the name of fun you understand. I see you have gone for different T39's - I prefer the superdome so already Laz is one point ahead in my book ;) keep up the good work.

  5. Sorry to be slow on the uptake of this thread but - here, here! The understated watch is so much more classy. Less is more. I have no moderns and don't think I will ever get one (never say never). Same is true with cars, I mean look at a Bugatti Veyron compared to a Series 1 E - type Jaguar. The Veyron is a joke and the Jag exudes class.

  6. OK. Hello. Welcome etc etc.

Do yourself a favour and put in the time and effort that everybody else has, use the search feature, maybe even contribute a little $ to this fantastic forum and you will find all the answers you need. Are you a watch mad geek or just someone who wants a decent Daytona rep to impress his friends? Either way is fine but give a little and you will get a lot.

Be specific. Which model are you interested in?

  7. Just a quick note to sympathise and wish you all the best on this quest. Keep on going and you will reap the benefits when the watch is fixed. If it was easy everybody would be doing it. The fact is it's not and there's the rub. Crack on, knuckle down, dig deep, soldier on and you will get there :D
