I wouldn't sink too much money in to that honestly. The dial looks terrible. Was it relumed or something? A cheapie is good to practice modding on though. Good luck

Clark ones arnt bad for the money honestly. I couldn't drill my bracelet and lug holes out big enough so I had to buy the slightly thinner ones. 20x1.78mm. Perfect fit for rep bracelets and end links

Ha! I did that for a few years. Making crowns,implants..etc Very detailed work and takes a LOT of skill. Working with wax is a BIAATCH

i dont think helenaru sells branded dials...

possibly magnetized. it happens quite easily these days with all these laptops, tablets..etc if it keeps gaining big chunks of time and then stops, its magnetized for sure. easy way to test is to stick a compass up to it. if its magnetized, it need to be degaussed. watch repair places can do this or you can buy a degausser fairly cheap on ebay. theyre good to have around to degauss screwdrivers and tweezers

no it will not take a yuki dial without mods. you can shave the dial .5mm the only gen spec dials these will take are 5512/5513 and tudor snowflake. they are all 26mm if you can find one, get a Purtime one. those will take gen spec dials.

It's the cartel version. It has gen spec construction and will take a gen spec plexi with a little sanding. It'll also take a Atheya 702 crown and tube without retapping. You will need to drill a little to have the tube be recessed. Bezel construction is gen spec (friction washer, bezel, insert). You can do a decent build with one of these. The main issues are Short, stubby crown guards. These need a LOT of work to get them somewhat gen like. Wrong dial size. Gen spec 1680 dial is 26.5mm. These take 26. The dial is wrong. The 12 marker is too small. It should be almost touching the crown. It def needs a relume. The bright yellow markers look bad. It's a fun watch to work on though. I got the 21j version to mod and I've done the following. Relume Clark plexi sanded down so the date mag isn't too large. Re drilled lug holes, end links and bracelet to take thick springbars Shaved crown guards Atheya 702 crown and tube. It's one of my fav watches.

You could try eBay or even a tc

I'll bet if you wanna order a watch with a spare dial, the ft will help. They can't be bothered it seems to sell us parts lately. Last time I wanted a dial, I had to order another watch and then add the dial on to the order. Sold the watch when it got here. Used the dial.

I can tell you from experience that having acetone anywhere near a dial will go bad real quick. It's great if you wanna turn your dial in to a blank.

I suppose it could be done as mentioned. Very light scraping and refinishing. Seems like a lot of work though. Why not just buy a sterile sub dial?

I never understood why people do this in the rep world. Do they go to best buy and ask the customers "which is the best LED tv?" And just buy that? I like making informed purchases. If it's a $3k tv or a $20 mouse, I'm gonna go online, look at my choices and look up reviews. Why would buying a rep watch be any different? We've all been noobs, sure. I don't think I ever asked who had the best ____. I did my own research. Found the watch I wanted and asked if the TD was any good. I may have asked for some help along the way but that's about it. I really just don't get the point of asking "who has the best sub". There are a 1000 different answers to this question. I get that some people have no desire to turn it in to a hobby. They just want 1 watch and be done with it. Well, there are tons of posts related to the topic. A simple search could have easily pointed them in the right direction.

Hehe. I did the exact same thing. To remove just the bezel, just catch It on the edge of the bezel and pop it up. I don't know what you used but I used a thin flat head between a polishing cloth and it did the trick. Kinda worked out getting the crystal out as the dial had 2 pieces of lint on it and the gasket was dry as a bone. Hope you have a crystal press to get the retaining ring back on tight

Holy crap. I think I could have hand painted a better dial than these. Wtf
-
That's pretty avg for a gen bracelet. I personally would just go with a TC bracelet. A grand can do a lot more for you build than a bracelet.

Use fine sandpaper to get the scratch out and then use scotchbrite or steel wool to refinish. I'd also use some cape cod to finish it off. Just go in one direction

+1 for Ryan as well. By far my fav dealer. Andrew... I can live with if I need something nobody else has but I'd rather deal with Ryan if I have the option

Just buy a TC and get it over with

Close appearance to the original? Are you sure you know what the original looks like? You had to have approved QC pics so unless he sent you a completely different watch from QC pics, you can't really complain. I hope you didn't pay a lot for it.

Very nice! I saw a post recently that PT went back to using the damn paper clip bezel construction. That kinda sucks but aside from that, those are the best available. Might have to order one
-
That is weird. Maybe the case back is pushing down on something..?

Looks like a 2813. Sadly, this happens. Had one die on me recently. I bought a watch for a friend and it died in like a week. His first rep too. I felt bad but did do a movement swap for him. TDs will want you to send it back or live with it. I didn't wanna risk losing the watch in to a black hole so I just coughed up the extra $30 bucks to get a replacement. It was doing the exact same thing as yours. It would run for a few seconds and just stop. With cheap movements like that, it's just easier to swap. Send it to a watchsmith for a new movement. Save yourself the headache.

DWO is by far the worst thing to have to install EVER. I absolutely hate it. I've been doing a movement swap for a friend and I'm so over it. Had if set perfect the first time. Of course it got hung up and wouldn't always flip all the way. Then a few 100x later, I got it to flip over every night but low 20s sit a little low. By this point, I would do more harm than good so we agreed that was as far as I go. Lol I never wanna do another DWO ever but I still have another build to wrap up.
