  1. Just emotionally yell "ITS THE BEST I CAN DO ALRIGHT?!?" and storm out
  2. on the TC, get a clark washer in there. that + a gen click spring made a hell of a difference on mine. TCs washers are too thin imo. gen click spring isnt too much different than TCs. its slightly thicker and the end is a little more rounded. idk. if i had to pay for it, i prob wouldnt have cared but it was free. had to try it. mine clicks smooth and firm. it has a little play but i think my teeth are just getting worn. sucks theres no way to buy it without buying the whole bezel assembly.
  3. Put a flat crystal on mine last night. Absolutely love it. The watches look so much better without the cyclo IMO The only problem is. Clark's gasket was too thick so I ended up having to reuse the TC gasket so my WR is probably compromised until I can get a new gasket.
  4. I started out with reps wanting to try out different pieces to get the gen but after getting a few top notch reps, I really can't justify buying a gen. If you have a TC sub and know where to get it serviced every few years, you'll never need a gen IMO. It's practically the same thing minus the beautiful 3135 that you never get to see anyway. I don't know. I still wouldn't mind a gen 16613 blue dial but no way in hell I'm paying 10 grand for that. Same goes with 16800 and 16660. These only because reps of them don't exist. I'd have to make one. I could prob build one of those on a TC base for a fraction of the cost of a gen.
  5. Gave the TC a facelift last night. Loving the flat crystal
  6. i think i would cry if i was trying to swap inserts and broke a gen ceramic bezel.
  7. ^^^ TC for the classic sub (16610) BK for the Ceramic Sub (116610) both will cost ya quite a bit and a few months wait time but theyre worth it. i dont own any ceramic rolexes but the TC is a must have for any Sub fan.
  8. serviced 16610s that needed a new hair spring/balance assembly would have them too.
  9. Just get the ceramic seamaster in blue. They should be around $330 bucks before shipping. It looks pretty damn close to gen. You can try out cheaper models if you want but it's a waste of money. You'll end up buying the best version available eventually. Only quartz omega id wear is a gen SMP and even then I'd prob pass for a mechanical rep.
  10. Great deal but the watch looked 1000x better before. The crumbly tritium on the dial and hands.. The small GMT hand.. *sigh I would have just had the movement serviced and put a new crystal on it. That would have made it perfect
  11. eh. most people wont be able to tell if your insert is gen or TC or ebay. i think the old TC inserts were pretty good. gen insert is worth having if youre completely OCD like me though. also depends on how much youre paying. ive seen people pay $250 bucks for a gen insert. crazy talk.
  12. looks gen and a hell of a deal
  13. I like the normal dial looking one. I'm just not a fan of the square markers and the snowflake hands. It just looks weird to me. Much rather have circles/triangles and merc hands

    Franken?

Not tryin to be mean here but instead of posting a bunch of questions, read around the forums a bit. Every question you've asked so far has been answered many times. Browsing around or searching for specific topics will teach you a lot. Oh and a franken is a watch with a mixture of gen/rep/aftermarket parts
  15. Swapping it out for a A7750 is prob chesper than getting it fixed. I think clones sell for like a $100 bucks or so. Where as service/repair will run you 2-3x that. Of course, a replacement will still be a time bomb but it's your cheapest option. If you really like the watch and plan on keeping it for a while, swapping it for a ETA7750 is a better option. They're not cheap though.
  16. Depends on the rep. Some have them. Some don't. Some have the wrong model numbers..etc
  17. Take the bezel off and see if it's gen construction. I believe WM9 YMs were the only reps of this made with gen construction. Looks good though.
  18. I think everyone's first vintage rolex is a sub. I had no interest in them until I saw a 1680. After that, I absolutely had to have one. Since most reps of it suck, I had to find a decent base and mod it. Took a lot of time and a LOT of trial and error but I've finally built myself a decent 1680. Love the thing but I hardly wear it these days after getting a TC. It's way more fun building vintage watches then actually wearing them IMO. With that said, I hate plexis! They look great but damn do they get scratches. You can barely wipe the thing without making swirls. I'm thinkin my next build will be a 16800. All the lovely vintage looks of a matte dial and sapphire crystal.
  19. The gen inserts arnt glossy. Not sure why everyone is saying these arnt shiny enough. The gen insert I have and the countless ones I've seen have almost a satin like finish to them.
  20. I don't think KH dials come with 3135 feet but you could always clip them. If I had a 3135 movement though, I'd prob go ahead and get a gen dial... Recently picked up a TC v6 with a v3 bracelet (PJ engraved) and v4 clasp. It's a work of art honestly. Mine suffers from the slightly off center dial but really not noticeable unless you go all OCD on it. Seems OPs is the same way. Put a gen flat 4 insert on mine and had no problems pushing it in to place with my hands. I do need a new tension washer though. The one it came with has creases in it so the bezel will slip on occasion :\ The only flaw on mine is the date doesn't quick flip. It sits off center for around 5 mins before flipping. I'm guessing there isn't enough clearance on the dial. Nothing worth opening it up to fix. TC V6 is by far my fav rep. It looks and feels gen in every possible way. Gen inserts are nice but TCs new inserts look pretty damn good too. The only other mod is recommend is a gen crystal if you can find one. I'm goin with a Clark flat crystal to get rid of the cyclop.
  21. David Wong. He was making reps for a while and I guess he scammed a bunch of folks or somethin.. I don't know the full story but I know he's not trusted for whatevs reason. That eBay deal is pretty damn good even just for the cases and movements. Just toss some branded dials on there and you're sitting on a couple grand worth of Daytona reps. Wish I knew my way around a VJ7750
  22. I'd go with the first one. I know it's not a PN dial but the PN reps with ST19 movements suck. The 6 sub dial should not be cut off like that and it just throws the whole dial off balance IMO.
  23. This was my first time buying anything from them. Luckily, I didn't need it. Scored a gen click spring when I got my insert. slight difference from the TC click spring but not worth buying if you don't need it. Shoot me a pm if the one you ordered doesn't work out. I can send you my spare.
  24. I'm not really a fan of any of the big crowns or the ceramics but I gotta hand it to pbdads work. This is quite amazing. Damn near a perfect rep of the $25k gen.
