  1. Have you got a cold?
  2. Here's what I am not wearing today...
  3. Far out question... Is the rotor turning when you wind it by hand?
  4. You mean 1575 carrying case... Is this a hacking or non-hacking movement? Or is it an early hack that has been reverted to non-hack? Weird, but it looks brand spanking new and "rough" but should look used and old, but "smooth." Yaknowwuddimean?
  5. Danke Admin.
  6. Dump the Jos
  7. For the service which The Zigmeister provides, I can think of no one with a more reasonable price. Unless you have the same opinion as me... It is my own personal opinion that "a more reasonable price" would probably be a couple of hundred dollars higher.
  8. Victoria, feel free to clear up the pikelet, crumpet, English muffin and jam, jelly, gelatin debates while your at it...
  9. Of course, it would more properly be irrespective.... But the well placed, perceived misstep can be used to reveal, unravel, and debone the agents of chaos. You know, those who argue for the sake of argument, because they have nothing else of worth to pursue... I see that you take no umbrage to the "real meat" of the debate, only the "bait." I can also point out that "irregardless" is more commonly used by the New England "better educated left wingers with slightly lower grades" than those Mid West "dumb old misunderestimated right wingers with slightly higher grades." My use of the "non-word" is a bit of an obtuse reference for my own amusement, that I admit to, and that almost no one in the general population would otherwise readily recognize.
  10. Are you disagreeing because you interpret my statement to mean all sides are bad? or because you fail to see idiots on all sides? Hmm... Let's have a moderately 'safe' example, with no labels... Marriage in the United States. Some will say marriage is between a man and a woman, only (meaning: marriage is a contract between the state, a man and a woman, with approval by and notice to the state, only). Some will say marriage should be between any two consenting parties (meaning: consenting to contract between the state and themselves, with approval by and notice to the state, only). There ya go.. 'both sides'... of course, both sides cut across parties, etc... (which is where my 4D representation is better) Why are the major proponents here idiots, and wrong? Irregardless of position, and politics, all sides disregard the Constitution of this country. Marriage is a sacrament of the church, and was established as such LONG before this country (and our rouge parent country) existed. Citizens' expressed rights are to be unencumbered by any law. Marriage is rightfully between individuals and their G-d, gods, or lack thereof. The state should not be party to, or enabled to grant permission (or license (which is to enjoy that which would otherwise be illegal)) for the enjoyment of a protected Right. Especially one which the government is specifically separated from... Yet, idiots on all sides placidly allow the government to make itself supreme in issues where it has no basis... Simple.
  11. I like to see how tight the polls are myself. Last time I voted in KY, I used an AMEX Credit Card as ID... Last time I voted in WA, I used the local Registered Voter card... and 'forgot' my DL... but I've got mail! Pretty depressing how similar the idiots are on all sides... My only question for years has been, how fast to you want it all to go to hell? Take a ride a hand basket? Vote Rep... Express bus in the wide open car pool fast lane? Vote Dim. Then the Reps go and throw the basket in the bus.
  12. It basically means I am stuck with nothing coming in and about $3500 a month going out...
  13. Nasty hernia. The contract Doc says, "Due to pre-existing condition, no WC", day-job wants to put me on FML so, probably no UI. So, looking for admin stuff to fill in till I can get another operation. Too bad I've already sold off most of my more valuable watches, the last time... Psst... wanna buy a vintage Glassh
  14. I haven't been working for a little while, so I haven't actually been wearing any watches... but I have been cleaning, sorting, storing, admiring.... Anyway, since I haven't felt like eating for a while... (and Vic is providing the food shots today...) I'll slip into Freddy territory and cover... Cover shots. GUB & Grubby Tub... Hey Jimi, where ya' goin' with that Ghost on your hand? Mono-tones for Mono-Stones. Enjoy.
  15. My favorite? Empty Glass + the required quantity of 50yr Glenfarclas, Macallan, or 40 yr Bruichladdich. Of course I wouldn't turn down a bottle of any good scotch.
  16. Now THAT would be the REAL Real McCoy EPZ.
  17. Now that appears to be an interesting version of a Modified Gen Commemorative... The dial is good, the hands are bad, the CG are too fat... can't see if there are lug holes or not... and The caseback engraving is WRONG and lower quality than the Modified Gen Commemorative that I have seen. On the example I have seen, the General Chuck Yeager and The Real McCoy's (the company that did the commemorative modifications) is engraved on the bevel of the caseback, with a single 5-pointed star separating them on each side, Chuck Yeager engraved across the middle with a representation of TWO of the planes he flew, one above and the X-1 below. AFAIK, these mods were done in 96 to GMT's with lugholes. So, maybe this sinking company has released a new "Anniversary" commemorative with only the X-1, and the quality has slipped a bit. Or maybe, it's a really good Rep, with half assed mods to re-create a really obscure watch.
  18. 7 Panerai... 223 was a 6519 224 was a 6604 GMT 225 was a #70 Wrist Compass 226 was a 6675 Cali-Dial Radiomir 1936 227 was a 203/A Pre-V PVD Luminor 228 was a 301/A Mare Nostrum and 254 was a PAM00174 QUARTZ Dealer Clock... There was also a nice single button Alpina Chrono that just about any Panerai lover would probably go for as well... it was number 261
  19. Just go buy one of those Swatch/Omega Schumacher Legend monstrosities..
  20. Looks like Genta alright... Just like Genta RIPPED OFF the ROLEX Viceroy, FM RIPPED OFF the GRUEN Curvex and put an Omega Tonneau dial on it.
  21. I was reminded by a buddy that Tissot (Swatch Group) made this historic screw-up in the other direction (K to M) recently as well... Not once... But TWICE... See what I mean when I talk about Swatch Group, and the LOVERLY things they end up screwing up with what were once QUALITY brands... Maybe this will help clarify... Check out indicator at 3 and go a countin' by 5's with me... 5 10 15 25 20... yup... that there is HIGH QUALITY QUALITY CONTROL... Man, do I HATE SWATCH. Back to bezels though... what about this wild thing? What in the hell is this bastard measuring with the bezel? Especially with no hands to indicate? As far as regional frame of reference, I'm from Kentucky, and never had a problem with the metric system.
  22. Sweet Explorer Stilty. How much do you want for it?
  23. Love the Tudor's Tribal. I have a few myself... Glad there is no objections to Gens in the wristies from TJ, as my Gens of all makes outnumber Reps 450+ to 1.5, at the moment... ElPrimero sells the ElPrimero and buys a Tudor Prince? Now that is... interesting. Nice Zod-mariner there Pred. I have the same Hydro, probably giving that one to my son this year... missed out on a nice Red dial Zodiac-Tudor a couple of months ago when it went too high for my budget...
  24. POTR

    6538 Dial

That dial is a mess... a nice, fresh looking mess... The indice borders are wrong, yes. The Font is good for ROLEX, bad for incorrectly sized for nearly everything else. Oyster Perpetual is oversized, as is the 200m = 660ft and Officially Certified Chronometer. Submariner is oversized and too THIN. Swiss looks good. Outer ring and seconds looks good.
  25. Very nice. Thanks for the pic.
