  1. Great gesture. nothing needed by myself though.
  2. Easy, the Speedy
  3. Loving the Pelagos.
  4. I've just said to contact you here. I didn't mention any suspension. Hope it works out for you mate.
  5. Now if that was in a classic Mini it would REALLY hustle!
  6. I'm in the UK and I've had 'broken watch parts value £20/$30'. I've never had a problem.
  7. Who was this?!!!!! PM me if you prefer please as I'll not be dealing with them.
  8. Well done. You've done the right thing
  9. They are great watches and by all accounts close to gen. I have a Long Island that I'm putting a gen dial into. Maybe I'll send to Micky Man of SSTEEL. They do attract a lot of interest for a watch, even my wife likes them - which is why she errrrr borrowed by mid size curvex 12 months ago and I've not seen it since.
  10. There actually are some decent people out there. Very nice gesture by the member.
  11. Micky: He's a very bad man. Oops wrong forum. Seriously though, sometimes people act as sheep to fit in. Usualky the ones without enough willpower or fight in them. Maybe this 'friend' just wants to fit in there. I understand it hurts but sometimes you just have to accept that whilst you're not at fault people are following the herd. Maybe he fears the ban gerbils there if he defends you. Let it slide and move on. You can't please all of the people all if the time. And now you can't defend yourself there so put your energy into places who value your contribution.
  12. Try buying from our TD's or M2M.
  13. I like the fact that, here, sales photos should remain permanently visible. If only because I can check the thread 6 or even 12 months later should I decide to sell the watch. I can then see what I originally paid for it. Anyway, it's horses for courses, or in some cases like RWI more like donkeys! Still the good news is that soon we will have SSTEEL all to ourselves!
  14. I've chipped in over there for what it's worth. Anyhow, Micky fits in fine here.
  15. I never knew him or had any dealings with him but the sentiments here are a reflection of his character and how much people thought of him. RIP, condolences to his family.
  16. With the likes of Rolex, Omega, Brietling etc - the mid range brands, you're paying for their marketing and sponsorship of sportsmen. Yes, they're nice watches when compared to Pulsar, Invicta etc and there are a lot of development costs but many of these brands are owned by the likes of the Swatch Group/ETA. I expect she was talking about the movement being a generic ETA movement. Well that's not a bad thing as they are cheap and readily available. Alternatively, just buy a good rep for 1/10th the price of a gen!
  17. Not good news.
  18. Nice IWC GenTLe, hope your wife doesn't like Amber jewellery!
  19. An old Eterna that I picked up today for £3, that's less than $5! Sounds good to me, although it will need a service. It's too small for me but I thought I'd rescue it anyway. Guess I may send it to SSTEEL when he's back up and running.
  20. Well done all. Let's hope Micky can now grieve in peace. It's a terrible thing to lose ones parent, even though it comes to us all. Whatever PB thinks about SSTEEL this is NOT the place for it. That has been done to death next door.
  21. You're not wrong buddy! I've averaged nearly one per week since I joined here! Trying to sell a few off now though as I'm short of funds.
  22. Would you expect anything less? We all feel for you so Andy came up with a great idea and the fellow members agreed with him to try and support you. We are honoured to have a great watchsmith here too. So much difference between forums in the way people get treated eh?
  23. lol, like kids in a candy store.
  24. Now that IS nice.
