Vegasvic replied to fraggle42's topic in The Tag Heuer Area
That new crystal with AR does make it look absolutely amazing! Great job on that one! -

You got an awesome deal on a sweet watch! Definitely post some pics when you get it! -
Just off hand, installing an Incabloc shock protector, and replacing the painted Panerai logo on the movement with engraved letters. Needs to be cleaned, oiled, and regulated too. What's the water resistance on yours? Would like mine to be at 40m at least.
-
I would look into a Cartier Roadster Chrono on a black strap. Delicious.
-
You have a great list there, can't really go wrong with any of your choices. For me personally at least, I'm in the market for a 42m PO and the Tag 500m, although with a black dial. Those two PAM's are sweet too!

Good evening everyone, Hope you are all doing well! I finally got around to taking some pics of my new rep. Don't have a DSLR, but my Sony Cybershot is just OK. Obviously no mods done at this point, but let me know your thoughts, evaluation, and possible suggestions for this piece. Thanks, V

Thanks! Gotta look into that too! Dang, the list keeps growing. . .
-
Wow! Just. . . wow. That is such a spectacular collection you have there, it blows the mind. Congrats man!
-
2000m water resistant?? That's very impressive, but who is ever going to need that much, including pro deep sea divers? But if you are into getting the most water resistance possible, this has to be the king.
-
I don't even want to think about it, but it's enormous! But I have unlimited usage, so no problem there.
-
Thanks! I will check it out. Btw, what watch do you have in your avatar? That is really cool looking.

just received the noob 116610LV Green Ceramic V3.1

Sweet looking sub! I can see why you had to replace the bracelet, that clasp is pretty off. -
Seriously, that is so beautiful, it makes you want to cry! I bet you get a TON of comments when you wear that around.
-
Well, you can't beat gen, and you can't beat that price sir! That watch is basically brand new.

Now that I'm married, I use what appeals to the old lady. I noticed she really liked my Jack Black aftershave cooling lotion, but the scent would wear off after a few hours. But I found out Jack Black has a cologne as well, which is basically the same scent as the lotion, but lasts quite a bit longer. I don't like heavy, musky fragrance, but this one is pretty clean and fresh. JMO.

Sweet watch! I saw a guy wearing one in San Diego a couple months ago, and couldn't keep my eyes off it! That is also a piece you don't see a lot of guys wearing around everyday, so it has tremendous wrist presence.

I'm thinking probably April. I want that one and a high-quality PO next. Your watch really looks like the real deal. I would probably want those mods done myself. Can't believe the rep doesn't come with at least single AR and good lume. Did it take 2-3 months to get your watch back? -
Guys, both of you posted pics of sensational looking watches. I have had my eye on the 500M Aquaracer for some time, and I could pick up a gen for 1500 USD, but that is still some serious coin for me, and besides, for that kind of bread, i could get several HQ reps. I have no problem with quartz, it is very durable and reliable. On top of all that, for a guy like me, won't look that suspicious, because the price point is not out of reach, unlike say a 20K IWC for example. . . I really like the black dial chrono, and will check that one out as well!

The missus dragged me into the theater to watch the "Lego Movie." To be honest, it had it's funny moments, and the CG is impressive with what they did with Legos, but I don't get the "97%" positive reviews on my movie app. I'm sure if you are are really into Legos this might really be your cup of tea, but not for me. 6/10

Watch out for grizzlies if you decide to go out fishing or hunting. My buddy who lives in Anchorage said on a good day, he counted 65 large bears near the stream he was fishing at. Most of them will leave you alone, but he said he has had a few very close calls over the years. . .

That is another grail rep for me. Sweet watch btw JK. -
DSSD all the way for me, although I still plan on picking up a high quality sub, probably from TC. The first time my local contact showed me the DSSD, it was wrapped up in new blue bubble wrap, and looked absolutely amazing! I knew it was a Rolex, but what kind is that?? The heft and wrist appearance blew me away. To me, (and this is just my two cents of course), DSSD just looks like a bigger, more aggressive version of the sub. Definitely not for everyone, and there are those who hate the DSSD, but I love mine.
