I'm sorry, but had to laugh when I saw the hair spring. You got to admit, that is funny. Not laughing at your problem, but i'm sure when you saw the inside you must have said " what the hell!!" and laughed too
You should be the one responsible, not your employee. If she make the same mistake over and over, fire her. But if she works for 40 hrs, pay her for 40 hrs. Don't deduct for a mistake. Who pays for your mistakes?
Try pressing the pin down slightly as you install the stem. If you already have the stem in, press slightly on the release pin and it should start. Those movements new are around $20.
I think we should start a thread comparing all those boobs, Im sorry, I mean watches. We could start the thread with " today's titsties" I'm sure it would go super sonic in no time. LOL
You can't reach the spring with a dwo in place. Take your first and second finger and rotate the date wheel clockwise, you will line up the teeth in an opening. You'll feel it. Lift up with a single edge razor blade on the outside of the date wheel,it will pop off. To reinstall, take a 0004ths feeler gauge and slide under the date wheel against the spring, and rotate the bezel until you feel it drop down. Your done
Depending on the movement you have, most likely you will need an eta 2836-2 either asian or swiss. If you have the cheap db movement, neither the feet on the dial or the hands will fit. You can clip the feet and buy some hands for the eta. First, you need to remove the back. If a ball doesn't work, drop by a jeweler and ask him to loosen it. You will also need a new date wheel overlay.
I wasn't going to say anything, but I have 2 in the cabinet I replaced with good quality clones. Those movements seem to be trash. Both of these failed in the first 2 days. I keep them for parts in case I get one that actually is repairable
