Thanks Pete, I have some clear silicon in stock so thats cool. While your about, got any tips for installing your DWO? It's going on a DG3804, I am going to remove the ring and sand it down as advised for the clearance. Anything else I need to know about? Cheers

Guy's I am part way through my 1675 build, the parts are rolling in but now I need a little advice. Case is a cartel 1655, 116 crystal from Clark's and a WSO bezel assembly. I have done my CG reshaping 'cornino' style Problem is the bezel assembly is loose over the crystal, only a tiny ammount but certainly doesn't clamp on to the crystal. Is this normal and is it time to go for glue? If it's glue at this point what type (not necessarily brand) are you guy's using? For my first build it's all going nicely so far

I would appreciate this too, got a build on at the mo that I would like to age

Gen breitling navitimer sliderule into a rep navitimer tricompax ?
ceejay replied to db1's topic in The Breitling Area
In my eyes the 2 sliderules look totaly different, The gen (as we already know) markings reach closer to the outer edge of the slide rule, it's another of those glearing rep mistakes with the Navi. If you can fit a gen dial and the gen sliderule in there then you have a couple of the instant tell tales covered. You will of course still have the sunken date wheel and the window will not align with the date font correctly, but as I see in your other post you are considering repping a date wheel overlay that would solve the misalignment but not the sunken date Good luck with your project, we love good looking Navi's -
Guerlain, Habit Rouge Guerlain Vetiver Guerlain Homme Guerlain scents are for the money heads and shoulders above many...including Creed IMO

I have tried this on in the shop and from the front it should be a straight forward as said above if the subdial spacing is ok. From the back...forget it, the 1887 cal is a beauty and they won't rep that

Greetings from London - Breitling Navitimer questions!
ceejay replied to luc717's topic in Introduction/Rules/Support
Fire away, there's some very knowlegable Breitling fans here One word of warning, Navi reps are becoming very scarce. I have a heard of one or 2 dealers still being able to aquire them but haven't seen anyone actually buy one for a while. -
Thanks for the replies guys. I am waiting on an answer from Raffles regarding the DG movement as it doesn't seem to be in stock at the moment. This will be the movement I will go with. I will go with the 6mm crown, doing major works to make the 5.3mm look right is beyond my scope. I will go with the Ingod44 dial...can someone point me to the right one for this model? http://www.ingod44.com/rolex-gmt-master/ Are the Raffletime GMT hands any good? I suppose the look I would like according to automatico's guide is the "does it pass the close up eyebal test" Thanks again.

I have to build myself a 1675 so I need to get shopping! I think I am capable of doing the CG mods myseld so need a cartel 1655, is this the one I need... http://www.p-cls.com/00rlex00102-vintage-explorer-1655-ssss-asian-2813-p-9157.html Onto the movement, the model above comes with the asian (DG?) 2813, is the swiss 2836 a more reliable movement to go for? Do any of these have the CHS? Clarks bezel assembly Gen insert Ingod or gen dial & hands Gen plexi Gen/rep crown, is the 6mm still the one to go for or will a 5.3mm look ok? What are my options for the case back apart from Yuki? Also what is the correct date wheel overlay and are they available at the moment? Bracelet/strap will come later. Cheers, I am really looking forward to putting this together

15400 RO from Angus worth the wait?
ceejay replied to maevit4996's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
Dont know if its been picked up on before but look at the AP logo, on the gen the right hand side of the A is vertical parallel with the upright of the P. The rep A is not vertical and the P follows this line making it lean to the left (wonky) -
What a fantastic achievement, many, many congratulations!!

Good luck finding one, pretty much all the Navitimer Reps are no longer made. And they all have flaws. If you find one, we love picture of Navi's
