Any of the TDs should be able to get a watch to an address in HK pretty easily. I don't think they have physical stores there
-
Hey, welcome,to our community and good luck with your purchase
-
Yes they have some problems, there is a thread there about it. Yesterday when I checked in everyone was a new member with no posts

If it looks near enough on my wrist to not make make me angry when I glance at it and it keeps time to within five minutes or so I don't much care about the rest. Sure I love the silly details nobody else knows about and the clever, can fool the factory builds, but it's just a watch, I have some very nice reps and some truly terrible reps, some aliexpress crap, some AD stuff, I really don't care, if it gives me a better idea of the time than squinting at the sky and makes me smile it stays

Too right J, I can get as anal as anyone else, but the T - Swiss - T has the wrong spacing you say? At more than 18 inches from my face I can't even see it, for sure I'm going to get called out on that???

Okay, we are trying to make it easier for new members to get the hang of the forum and the rep world and are looking to send a welcome message to all new sign ups with links to useful information. I am intending this to be a 101 on rep buying. Any improvements or suggestions from members would be greatly appreciated. Let's make this guide the best one out there So you are new or relatively new to replica watches. It seemed so simple, you just fancied a nice replica, but then you quickly came across terms and descriptions you didn't understand. Here is a short introduction to help you decide what you want. Lets start with a little myth busting 1) There are no AAAAA plus replicas. The term is a marketing ploy and has no real meaning 2) No replica watches are made in Switzerland and any site that claims so is lying and therefore not a good place to consider purchasing from. If they lie about that, what else are they deceiving you on? 3) There are no 1:1 copies. There are some very, very good replicas that take an expert and serious magnification to tell, but there are always tells. Always. 4) We do not recommend our TDs because we get a kick back on purchases. We get nothing from our TDs So where does that leave us. Well a site you found on an internet search that has no TD status on any of the replica watch fora, may or may not send you a watch. Some are scam sites pure and simple. Many use pictures of genuine watches, then send you a low quality copy. Often they are more expensive than our TDs anyway. Dealers all source their watches from the same place, so if a site claims to be able to get a watch that is unavailable anywhere else alarm bells should start ringing. We insist our TDs use photographs of the replicas they are selling, not genuine. We expect certain standards of business and can help to some extent if something goes wrong. Replica watches are for the most part made made in China, with a few high end parts and watches being made elsewhere, notably Vietman. We talk about factories to distinguish different makers, but don't get too hung up on what the na,es mean. These are not factories as we tend to think of them. These are counterfeit goods and the factories are more like small and secret workshops. So no all those sites claiming to be the Noob factory have no affiliation with the Noob factory, which keeps a very low profile and the dealer who works most closely with them is a TD right here. A good place to start is to read something about the genuine watch you are interested in. Often their are production changes and variations in the genuine, study a few pictures and save them on your hard drive to compare with the rep. Remember you may need to know the exact model or reference number. The Submariner has been marketed in many different forms over the years. The current one for example is 116610 in stainless steel Then learn about the replicas available. For popular watches there may be a few versions, each with plus and minus points. Our search engine isn't great, but if you use google and add RWG.cc to the search parameters it will do a grand job of searching our forum for you. Movement reference numbers in replicas, seem designed to confuse. A3135, SH3135, SA3135 and so on. Let's start with a common misconception about Swiss movements. The Chinese copies of ETA movements are very good. All things being equal a Swiss ETA, would still be better, so should you pay extra for a watch with a Swiss eta? Well unfortunately all things are not equal. For some years the Swatch group has seriously limited the availability of new ETA movements. Although they are somewhat easier to buy now, it is extremely likely that a replica watch with a Swiss movement will have a used unit pulled from an old watch and repaired with a mix of secondhand are Chinese parts. If a Swiss movement is really something you want, buy from the dealer with the Chinese copy and upgrade with a Swiss movement from a reputable supplier. They are a direct swap, because apart from the finish of the parts and quality of materials used, they are basically identical. On Rolex models the movements used are the 2824 and 2836, the Chinese clones are usually A2824 and A2836. An A3135 is a Chinese ETA copy with decoration to make it look a little similar to the Rolex 3136 calibre. That leaves SA3135 which is physically the same size as the Rolex movement in all dimensions including the hand sizes. This means, if you wish and have the money, you can fit a genuine Rolex movement in the case. However this movement gained a reputation for unreliability and although now much improved, there are no spare parts available. The SH3135 is much more interesting in that it is a clone of the Rolex movement. There are only a couple of parts that are not directly interchangeable with Rolex parts or indeed aftermarket Swiss made Rolex parts.
-
Great advice for @docthor It s all very confusing for a start, but SA3135 is physically the same dimensions as the Rolex calibre, but otherwise not similar and as said although reliability has improved, there are no spare parts. SH3135 on the other hand is for the most part a clone of the Rolex movement and takes genuine parts. The difference between 3135 and 3132 is as with the Rolex. 3135 is a date movement and 3132 is none date. An Explorer does not have a date, so ideally a rep should use a none date movement rather than just not have a date window in the dial. Genuine swiss ETA sounds impressive, but for the reasons stated isn't a good option

That is a cool looking watch, but the stories and family connection make it priceless.

Article: Confessions Of Serial Replica Watch Buyers

Well that is not quite true MOAB, we are right here telling the whole world and to be honest I can't see that none of these "experts" have never visited us or the cousins. If you were writing a piece about anything these days you would do a little internet research - right? I do wonder if they don't want a clue. Spin doctoring. If they wrote "Hey the Noob Submariner and virtually every Panerai rep, sure under a loupe they haven't the same fit and finish, but on your arm they are indistinguishable from the real deal", well they wouldn't get an invite to Basel World anymore would they? Where as spreading the word that reps are crap, is more pleasing I guess -

My heart bleeds when the Swiss watch industry moan about intellectual and property rights, trademarks and copyrights. Like we all forgot how the Swiss industry started. They produced fakes of English horology, which got it's start by faking Italian, which ripped of ottoman, which copied? Oh yes the Chinese, who have the best claim of having invented mechanical time pieces in the first place. when it comes to serious bling, I find it hard to decide which is more brain dead, the group who buy reps to look like they have spent millions on a tacky watch or those who really did spend millions on a tacky watch. As for being called out, we all know it is so rare as to say it doesn't happen. Anyway I don't give a damn what anyone else thinks about my watch, least of all some random stranger who has self appointed as morality police -
I think it is possibly the current best, but I hear that it doesn't have fully working subdials. I'd also be very surprised if it actually proves to be real 904L, more likely something that fools hand held testers, not that I care about that really

Ken is a member and trusted dealer here, why not send him a PM? @Rafflestime
-
I'm the same, 1 2 3 4 many. Fortunately the posts are numbered at the bottom???
-
Thank you @cpd2186 post 23 in that thread, he used a Raffles Big Crown and did lots of case work including lathe work to make the movement fit. Tripdog is really good at getting outstanding results from less than high end parts.
-
I don't think you are going to find much unfortunately. Tiger Concepts does or did a GMT somewhat like it, but with a sapphire crystal. A better budget option might be to get a 1675 and sand the crown guard off.

I had a pair in a forty foot aviary and my nearest neighbour, who is nearly a mile away asked if I could do something about the noise. The greys and Senegals never bothered her.
-
Ringnecks. I love the blue ones, but those boys get loud
-
I think it will eventually peak. Rolex itself does not have total parts availability, they could of course remanufacture parts, but then so could someone else and my bet is that when the price is high enough and supply none existent, someone will.

Davidsen has them at $280 http://www.dsnwatches.com/category/pam-44mm-steel-gmt-watches/

@orna18 MOAB did that for you on Thursday. It's gone, the links don't work

Pvirus dial?

Very nice, thank you for posting. The 6263 is my favourite Daytona by far

Which is best in your opinion and which is best in mine might well be very different things. However ALE's guide on RWI is a great place to start https://forum.replica-watch.info/threads/reference-pam-review-guide-replica-search-identification-evaluation-selection.107365/

I am no expert on American law, but I am part way through law qualifications here. In my view that letter is bullshit and contains many carefully crafted sentences that have no meaning in law but are designed to terrify those without legal knowledge. As stated "may" has no legal standing and I would interpret it as "definitely do not". As to Rolex "demanding". Well I demand you immediately buy me a Noob V7. I or Rolex can "demand" anything at all, but if we had serious claim we would back the claim up. For example "I demand you send me a Noob V7, unless I am in receipt of said watch by Sept 7th I will initiate immediate court action. I may quote relevant case law. If I was lucky enough to receive such a letter, I would frame it and hang it in my toilet. Under no circumstances would I respond.
