Athaya

Recommended Posts

Hello guys,

I plan to make case kit for the first Submariner Rolex 6204 using the gen 6204 case that I just acquired.

Case will be made in gen specs that will accept Rolex Cal. A260 Movement, but will add eta adapter for it.

Case kit will contain :

——————————

- Complete midcase with caseback and gasket

- 5.3mm brevet Crown with tube

- Complete bezel assembly

- Tropic 16 plexi

- 6204 pencil hands (option for A260 and ETA movement)

- ETA movement adapter

Please tell me what do you guys think.

If have interest enough I will open the pre-order and also will run the batch only once since we need to honor this beauty.

6204 case is bottom one, above is 6536/1.

I'm in. Questions: Are you able to cut/polish the chamfers on the lugs fat and crisp? What's the timeline and approximate price?

But please please please make a good quality crown, which doesn't wear out so quickly :)

I'm in. Are you planning on making a dial too?

Yes, still digging infos for it

Finalizing drawing and producing sample will need around 30-45 days, this will be a long project like always

About price will do my best to use Athaya price range hahahaha.

Regarding the crown, well noted thank u. Still improve it in every new crown production.

For this one : Are you able to cut/polish the chamfers on the lugs fat and crisp?

I think you need to show me with photos since I don’t really understand it. Still learn English till now

I think he means like this 😀

I'm very interested in one of these cases. Would it be possible to get a sterile case, so that one can get custom engravings done later?

Any estimate of what the price will be? I assume they will come with one of your early inserts that are in the works?

Do you know the correct ss bracelet codes for it?

It should be using a riveted Tiny logo unmarked bracelet, made by Gay Freyes, similar to 7206 only unmarked. Endlink is 64 or 65.

When I built my 6204 I found that the Brevet Crown should be a 6mm. I used the Brevet crown from Raffles Time and modified it as outlined here: https://rwg.cc/topic/140709-6mm-brevet-crown/?hl=%2B6mm%2B%2Bbrevet#entry1046879

The minute hand should be 13mm from center hole to tip. The early watches used the longer hand. I bought mine for the 6204 and 6542 from Helearou That puts the tip right at the chapter ring, which has a diameter of 26mm. The hour hand came from a long time looking for a pencil style in the right length and hole size. If memory serves, I got it from OttoFrei and had to squeeze the center hole a tad to fit. The second hand is stitched together.

I used a 'Tiger' case, engraved with 'Brevet 6204' and serial number by JB,  and ETA 2846 movement. The dial is a decal I made, pic attached welcome to use. . The bezel is one of those I had made for the 6542, modified and aged. The bracelet is unmarked, per gen.

I really love the way the 6204 looks, and is my 2nd favorite by a hair to my 6542.
