  1. Moab, You´re a Master at finding these niche-products. It´s a great vintage Rolex inspired design, loving it:)
  2. That Seamaster Regatta with yellow accents You chose is a beautiful Omega. It´s seldom seen around, but I´m very tempted to consider one for X-Max:) Great watch, wear it well!
  3. Hi, slowly give the watch a full wind of +- 35 turns, set the time and leave it on a table. See how long it runs to check the power reserve. If it is normal (36 to 44 hours) You still have a problem with the rotor (the caseback now maybe is too tight) or the winding mechanism.
  4. It does not look like the thicker spectre strap that has squared keepers as Hayden already wrote and "Omega" printed on one of them, it´s just a regular NATO with the Omega buckle. On the other hand Acejewelers charging 235,- Euro for the OEM Nato also is just a little bit.... expensive, to not put it in another way: https://www.acejewelers.com/en/accessories/watch-straps/omega-nato-strap-031zsz002053 This is what a 235 euro Strap from Omega looks like (great, great deal - for the selling brand, it´s a margin of almost 5.000% over material & production cost or more)
  5. Great gesture sending the watch on a 50% deposit, it can really be a way to help people get what they want, before they later have the money but the watch is gone. The buyer really has to do everything he can do to comply and deeply thank You for the comprehension while now it´s another 4 weeks (a lot if not even a symbolic goodwill payment has been made) over deadline.
  6. Hi and welcome, and You went right up to the top of the line lookwise. Congrats and have fun around.
  7. Hi and welcome, maybe try Ken´s store to find what You´re looking for: http://rafflestime.com/watch-dial/ Have fun around:)
  8. What an amazing collection of serious watches today. All stunners and beauties. Out by the waterfront with a simple, stock otb BP-sub-c. Well, it´s got 1 big plus, it´s good for swimming.
  9. Imho as long as You keep it low with 1, 2 or 3 boxes, it just adds to the experience and is a nice thing to have.
  10. Amazing post:) More than 800... just realized I only went through a tiny fraction of that and already thought those were too many somehow. You´ve got some great Breitlings there, those look fantastic (amongst many others) like the Sinn that looks like the Omegas of that time. Thanks for sharing.
  11. Many gens and rep ETAs just do it, nothing to worry about.
  12. Hi, I can just link You to the Cousins.UK page, maybe You will need to sign up: https://www.cousinsuk.com/search?SearchTerm=dg+2813. There is no guarantee it will fit, but it´s not too big an investment either. You need hand setting and hand removal tools, small screwdrivers, a loupe, an airduster can for cleaning pcs. There are many good and detailed pictorials, try some searches on google, also check some videos on Youtube. I think in the first step I would just take out one movement and drop in the other, before trying things like changing the rotor, the datewheel overlay and the crown (it could be the stem and crown You have just fit the new movement, even better). On cousins.uk they sell all kinds of equipment in cheap, Indian or Chinese versions too. As long as we are not servicing a movement, for starters they do the job more than well.
  13. Hi, You´re here for 1,5 Years and live in the EU. DHL is about the worst shipping method ever for continental EU, they always charge their taxes. The only way of shipping is through the UK (the expensive but lengthy way) even if You have been lucky in the past it does not compensate for the trouble ahead. France is not easy-going in this issue. If just the watch is gone (without further issues) consider Yourself lucky and lesson learned. Just stating the facts.
  14. This is pushing it well over the limits:) But somehow I have to admit it´s got a lot of attraction, when You know what´s underneath.
  15. The AP is exceptionally well made, looks good, it´s reliable and thin. The white Chanel J12 is another good one, quartz as the gen (with seconds hand), just avoid the cheaper plastic instead of ceramic ones, available in several sizes up to 38mm. Others: Cartier Ballon bleu Omega Ladymatic (difficult to find) Breitling Cockpit
  16. Early sixties no-date, gold-plated Omega, just entered my collection
  17. Otb DG 2813 and A7750 I agree but together with a "used to them controlled wrist" and some Moebius oil on the rotor bearings (doesn´t need a complete service) it improves immensely. And it´s always worth doing. ETA-clones are miles better in this specific aspect, even not comparable. Very generally speaking I see more tells in overall shine and crispness, sometimes crystal clarity, but this You notice in a side-by-side not so much as standalone.
