Thanks, guys! I'm familiar with that jewel. Unfortunately, my Yuki seems to be missing it. The date wheel and finger work without it, but I'm certain it's not good long term. I used a medium Bergeon oiler to put a dab of 9501 on it for the time being. I'll have to ask misiekped if he has access to these so I can buy a replacement. I may have to buy the whole piece, as the peg that the jewel would sit on doesn't seem very large which may be the reason it went missing to begin with. As far as the actual jumper, it appears I was sent the wrong one. The eBay seller fortunately has provided great customer service and is sending me a new one. I suspect this one is for a similar movement (3155, perhaps).

Second hand seemed to be the culprit. I've got a Clark's second hand on there now and have no issues. I bought a new date jumper, but it doesn't fit. It seems to be taller (there is clearly a shim or washer under the actual head that makes it this way. The date disc did transition smoother with it on; however, I can't get the dial on with this. I put back on the original after bending it a bit and lubing it up and it works, its just not snappy. I'll have to sort that out. I then discovered that the date finger...well, had no finger. Not sure how it was even pushing the disc. It seems it may have broken off as there were now two holes (one to sit on the wheel and presumably one where the finger used to be). I replaced it with a gen and it seems to Ben running well. Final mods will be aging the hands to match the dial and then tearing it down to send to jmb for lug holes. I'm pretty disappointed in the EL fitment. I've tried two sets of gen end links and their still a bit gappy. I guess I'll just have to live with it until I find a different case down the line. Here she is as it is now.

I echo everything said here. I was in your shoes three months ago. I'm just now wrapping up my first build. I wish I had started with a junker as I woulsve gained the experience for troubleshooting and the dexterity to work on small pieces. Good tools aren't cheap, but they make all the difference. Cheap screwdrivers and tweezers will be the bane of your existence and will inevitably end up in the trash.

I've been looking at the Reduced lately. How do you like it? Have you had it serviced yet? I've heard the DD module can be expensive.

Same. I picked up my 83 date 93150 on the bay a couple months back.

I was going to start building one of these, but all I have is the movement. DW it seemed had resurfaced a bit ago and there was a small flood of these on the market, but it seems to have dried up again.

I like going to extremes as much as the next guy, but why go with a Y3135 if you don't already have a gen dial and/or hands? In would think an ETA would be cheaper and a better out-of-the-box upgrade if you don't already have gen parts.

I was looking in to this and Ephry told me its possible. He stated you need to use Tc's flanged case screws and grind away at the slots in the case in order for it to sit correctly. He said it wasn't necessarily difficult, but it was tedious.

I know that gen hands can be broached to fit an ETA, but how did you manage the gen DW on to it? Amazing YM. They're really starting to grow on me. These builds absolutely help that. I need to focus on my current build that is 95% done and these really give me scope creep.

Awesome piece! I'm glad it worked out for you! More times than not, myn experience with USPS has been a disaster. When my gen 93150 came, they tried to deliver but it needed a signature. So the next day after work, I went to the post office. "We can't find it. It doesn't make sense, we have no idea where it is." They give me a phone number to call and send me away. Turns out, my wife did me a favor and went and picked it up during the day and they had no idea, documentation, or proof that it happened. In my experience FedEx>UPS>DHL>USPS.

I have an O1V. Love it on NATO. In fairness, the bracelet is solid, too. I just like being able to change out natos quickly. FYI, it was $600 shipped tithe states with bracelet and vintage leather strap with deployment. A lot for the money, if you ask me.

Thanks for the tip! I'm going to have to find a new seconds hand as its slipping on the pin. The dial was what made the build. It was the first piece I bought and I fell in love with it. It's odd since the hands are allegedly from the same watch.

That's a good point. Didn't think of that.

Check eBay. Putting a rep dial on a gen piece feels odd.
