As always, fantastic watches, Ludo!!
I just missed out on a very nice genuine 116520 white dial for your watch- $150!! Would have been a nice fit on your Daytona to replace the rep dial...
-
Happy birthday, gang!!

P.S. I'm counting the days until I receive my Pre-A from davidsen. That is one Panerai I am genuinely excited about
-
It would probably be best to try and work this out with your dealer first. However, if you need to resort to replacing a movement, let me know.

Hour subdial @ 6:00 shouldn't be recessed... Only 9:00 and 3:00...
-
Nice... Casio? What the heck IS that thing?
BTW... Some of us can afford gens too...
-
I have a spare 21J Asian movement left over from an ETA swap I did. If you need it, I'd be glad to send it...

Personally, I think Panerai are just as dull as Rolex. There is nothing really exciting about either. Both brands have a line of watches that really have no design variance. You seen one PAM, you've pretty much seen them all. Same with Rolex.

Nice to see that I'm not the only one thinking along these lines...
Indeed- 47mm is way too large for my wrist as well. The 45mm Radiomir is my max, and it's tolerable only because the case has a very low profile design to it.
I am not sure if Kenzo is selling these custom made Radiomirs any longer. At $550 per, these were great bargains for a custom made Swiss 6497 based time piece. I think I spent more in collecting parts for mine than what it would have cost to just buy one of his creations. It was, however, a lot of fun putting it together

I must admit- I'm not a Panerai kind of guy, but I do have a Panerai on the way that I'm actually excited about.
Still a vintage Rolex guy though...

Something like this?
My self made 3646 hommage based on a 45mm PAM183 rep...
WM dial
WM caseback
Aged hands
UT 6497
MF 26/26 strap
Prior to adding the WM solid caseback, I had the display back fitted...

Ludo- I agree... Vintage Fifty Fathoms would be nice!
I think it would make a nice companion to a vintage SM300...

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.... Metta

The 6263/5's all had Triplocks- The Cosmographs with Oyster signed dials were outfitted with Triplocks from the start, not Twinlocks. Twinlockers were the 6239/6240, etc with non-Oyster signed dials.
As such, any Triplock 7mm crown is sufficient for a 6263/5, as it is likely these have been replaced during a service with the most recent variation. 24-703 should work nicely.

Why?
Dial and datewheel for starters...
-
The old TW Best is also a decent one to start with. It still has some flaws, but with some mods this one can really turn out quite nicely.
-
Vitello Rugattos are, I believe 5mm thick...
-
There are a couple of individuals who carry a very high quality variation of the 47mm 3646 hommage- WM and I believe river may be able to source these still (though I am not 100% sure).
In addition- a number of dealers carry a low cost variation of this watch-
Link.
There is a pretty substantial difference in cost as well as overall quality, but for the price, these low cost alternatives are pretty decent.

28 here...

They ship from Malaysia. And, yes... Sometimes the tracking is not updated on the websites as quickly as we'd like. But fret not... It's on it's way!

The differences are easier to spot if you've held a genuine; especially easy if you've had the opportunity to hold a genuine next to a rep! Pics can be deceiving at times, as photo quality, lighting, angles etc. all play a crucial role in perception. However, if you look at this stuff long enough, you'll develop an eye for it, and it will become much easier to spot a typical replica (or a genuine)! Modified reps, however, can be a different story

Tommy,
Great to see you, mate. I hope you are doing well.
Best regards,

Truly fascinating pieces.... Especially Euno's Spaceview! Very nice! And quite the conversation piece!
Does it bug you?
