  1. That's really a great topic !!!!

Some good opinions have expressed here on this.

I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

One exterme: If you social and income status is such that you can affort the real deal, people will not question what are you wearing (.... to that extend I gree with Eye.Surgeon).

Even when they see you everyday with a different watch (..my case :yeah: ), they will accept your hobby and they will start asking you about rep watches and where they can find some good ones etc....

The other extreme: If you are a 20 year old student or similar (... not coming from a very rich family) and people they see you everyday with a different watch then of course the whole thing is crying for "... here I am wearing my replicas" and people they will think that you are trying to pretend things that you are not. ( :secret: )

So is really up to you guys to decide where in between these two extremns you want to stand.

So my advise and personal opinion is that:

    - if your life allows to buy good genuine watches, buy as many reps as you like and its ok if you wear a different one every day.

    - If your life style is nearer to that you should have "other priorities in life", then buy one or two max good reps and stay with these. People can always guess that is a kind of a present.

    BTW: What's wrong with a 6 years old 325 ?

    Its a great car. :drive1:

    Cheers,

  2. Well ..... paying with CC over the net is not a very clever thing to do.

Many of the CC cards (Visa , Master Card etc..) they will not refund your money back in case of a fraud or stolen cc number.

In other words you are not cover for internet payments if something goes wrong.

At least that's the way it is in my part of the world ... and I guess in all countries in Europe.

The only CC that does that - gives you net protection (even on its simplest and cheapest version - BLUE) is AMEX.

  3. @ cwai02:

    Great watch and great pics.

May be is the pic itself or me being a bit picky , but on the last two pics where you can see that date window under an angle , is there a small gap ?? (looks a bit whiter on the left part of the window).

Sorry for asking this but I want to get the same watch myself so I would like to know if its OK.

BTW: From which dealer you got the Sub ??

  4. @ sevomd

    Great watch.

Few questions if you dont mind:

    - Is the power reserve working ?? (forget this one , EL says yes)

    - Has the crystal any AR coating ??? If not is it very reflective ??

  5. Apparently, the date mag is an issue on all the submersibles. I've got two and both date mags suck although the regatta is the better of the two of them.

AMKOOO, you'll enjoy it. I like it better than the Artkos. The hands are more readable in bad lighting as well.

    Robert ,

It seems that Watchhonpo has a new one listed (I think better version).

    http://shopping.e-conveni.net/item_info.ht...ucts_id=823123&

Ive mailed KEN (Etaworld) to found out more about it.

..... and yes the date mag is an ussue with the subs.

  6. If he stopped selling watches in late 2004 or 2005, how come he has the bad 2006 AP RO Jumbo offered in his photo album?

    B)

    Good observation.

He stopped selling watches at TRC at that time. Some also said that he sold his business, so maybe this site belongs to somebody else.

EDITED: Definately watchstation is not Jackie .... maybe I am/was wrong and the watchstation (second link I provided was also mentioned at TRC as Jackie) was never him.

  7. I have a nice looking stainless Omega Aqua Terra XL with the bright blue markers. I bought it from a TRC member and he said he got it from Jacky Chen. It has a solid seamaster case back and is believed to be an asian auto movt.

I tried finding info on the Jacky Chen stuff, sounds like he used to a pretty regular vendor for some of you guys a couple years ago.

How much is the watch worth realistically? Is it a $50 rep or a $150 rep, will be putting up for sale soon and I don't really know what its worth as I got it part of a trade deal for a vintage EXP2.

Jacky has stopped selling watches since late 04 or early 05 (you can find more info on him on TRC).

He used to sell both ETA and asian movements.

Is this the watch you plan to sell ??

    http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/watchnet77/d...ce3.jpg&.src=ph

..... if yes, can you provide a pic of the movement ???

Assuming that this is the watch and it is in mint on near mind condition(aprox 3 years watch), you can expect to sell it at:

    ASIAN ETA(2892 or 2824) : 110 - 130 USD

STD ASIAN: 60 to 80 USD

ETA (2892 or 2824) new , sells for about 150 to 160 USD (see Aspire or Trusty)

ASIAN new, sells for 100 to 110 USD (see Aspire or Trusty).

If the condition of the watch is average , then reduce above prices by 20 USD.

Of course this is only my opinion, hear others as well.

  8. Try timezone.com, I think they had lots of pictures from the Basel showwith the GMTs too.

@ Chronus , thanks fo the info.

I did though tried Timezone and Basilea. I could only found there the Black bezel/black dial (rest gold) and the diamonds and perls ugly rollies they presented there.

Basically the reason that I am asking for pics of the gen new GMT II, is because I dont remember and want to find out if the new one comes with Green Bezel and black dial or is the other way around (black bezel and green dial). :g:

  9. Guys ,

I am looking for pics (or link) of the new RX GMT II - black /green (2006 model).

There were some pics on the old RWG but cant find any here

Tried the RX official site ... not easy to navigate there (zero usability) ... couldnt find anything.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks

  10. Happy bday.

BTW , at your age you should be out with friends , meeting girlies and having fun.

More out and less forums ..... you have time for that when you are 40 .... and by that time I am sure that the ultimate PO will be here.
