There was $15000 in that pile, 100x$100s and 100x$50s. All are in the bank now.

and my cash also went to the bank today!

First of all, I'm not really into "cow" leather, because it doesnt have a real pattern. I think its just boring. It is alright for ocasianal wear, but I get sick of it very easy! And since the fiddy is among the best, I dont care to invest in it. The new style swan neck movement is already on its way and will be installed soon.
And because I like the fiddy SO much, I went with a genuine Honey Phyton strap. Yes, its from elliot, and he might not have good ethics, but seriously, I dont really give a [censored]! If I see something I like, I buy it, and noone else could offer me a strap like that. You dont have to share my view of things. If you dont want to buy from him, thats fine with me! I will also only buy from him, if I see something I like. I even bought something from TTK back when I had the biggest fights with him, because I can differentiate between business and social intercourse!
ALso I like the feeling of having an "animal" around my wrist. With this strap, you really get the feeling, you have something alive on your wrist. Its mainly because if the pattern and how it feels.
The Quality is quite good, though the stiching doesnt appear to be uniformly continuous. Some stiches appear to be smaler than others. Also I have the impression, that the scales will rip very easy. But I have only had the straps for a couple of days, so time will tell! If it looks like crap within 2 weeks, this WILL be the last strap I bought from elliot. Hopefully (for him&me) it wont!
I just wore the thing for 2 days and got a shitload of compliments on the strap. Each of my friends was like "WHOOWSAH!!!"... my girlfriend is the only one who didnt like it at all. She doesnt even want to touch it. I accidentaly touched her with it in bed and she started jealling and screaming and kicking. She things its groce. But like I said, I dont really give a crap what other think about me, my opinion or the stuff I wear
Another Con is, that the original Buckle does not fit properly. The Strap is not a 26/26, its a 26/24 I would say.
Regardless of all the cons&opinions, it is the nicest strap I have owned so far! I really like the scales and the pattern and such.
Shipping took a few days, came with UPS Express. Downside, freakin UPS guy woke me up at 9pm on my day off!
Now I only need the new movement from Sean and the watch will be perfect!
See the pics (some of them didnt turn out very good, unfortunatly I didnt notice that on the camera!):

i really need to get one of them for a friends b-day!

that guy is such a [censored]in moron, he keeps telling me it is genuine!
first he tells me "thanks for telling me, that its not genuine, but what do you mean with replica?" then I teill him, and he tells me "No, its a genuine montblanc movement blah blah blah, not chinese!!!"

I think that example does not correlate to the rep industry.
A better example would be, why $250K for a Ferrari if Guangzhou Motors is selling an almost identical car, offering almost identical performance for $15K- often with the exact same parts?
Bill
and also with the same engine

be careful! his account might be hacked, too!

thanks guys
i know movements come with a stem, but the problem would be getting the crown of the other stem and attaching it to the new stem (I doubt I could do that). And the movement I bought has the recessed pin already fixed (it is the VERY new swan neck movement with engraved bridges ans SWORD shaped swan neck regulator!)
will post pictures once I recevied the movement and put it in myfiddy!
thanks guys

It doesn't matter if you have a rep that is 99% accurate to a gen, it just doesn't feel right. Wearing a gen, you know in your heart that its real and you just have that confidence wearing the watch. How many of you guys would wear your rep to an AD and roll up your sleeves? Its the feeling you have wearing a nice gen that you worked hard for and not afraid to show it off.
I love wearing my gen IWCs, Zenith, GP.... etc and telling people about the watch and the history of it. I can't do that with a rep and a straight face. I only buy reps for watches that I would NEVER purchase a gen of. (Panerai, Omega PO....etc...). I like to wear them casually.... and nice to keep as part of my collection and have a nice variety. But if it's a watch you genuinely like and want, buy the gen.
For me, its like downloading MP3s. I only download songs that I would listen every once a while and an artist I don't care to much for. But if its an artist that I truly like and enjoy listening to, I'll buy their CD. I mean, they worked hard on it, and they deserve getting paid for it.
I'd wear my DW 6263 at an AD. I would even pass it to them!

not yet, but will most likely!

I'm going to upgrade my fiddy and I was wondering if I need a new stem&such or if the old stem from the CN Unitas fits the SWISS Unitas?
