  1. As the 077 has been made in an unique edition of 2 (two) units, it is priceless and not likely to be worn at anyone's dinner other than with a bodyguards full army around.

It is also a very characterized model (no black/charcoal dial, btw), it would not leave you in doubt about it.

Conversely, a fake tourbillon is a distinctive feature of the worst, cheapest, low-end PAM reps around. Something we are not used to look at.

  2. Once again, thanks the help. :thumbsupsmileyanim: Glad I asked because there is lume on the rehaut sub markers. Looks like all markers are C3 and all the hands are a C3-C1 mix.

I would rather say all markers are C1 and all hands are C3 (or C3-C1 mix). Actually, in spite of their daylight name, C3 is more blueish and C1 more greenish -- aren't they?

  3. Sash's model is one-button like the gen, so it must be the new release.

I just noticed two other (minor?) flaws though:

The gen case shows sort of an indent where the pushbutton is. The rep seems to have the indent on the back side, but not on the fron side. Pics for comparison (gen first):

The other (very small) flaw, as you can see, is the crown shape.

  4. I do not have it, but looking at Sash's pics and OP pics I can say:

apart from the unconsistent movement, it looks quite not a bad rep.

Minor flaws (unsure, they could just be a matter of pictures):

    - Fonts and markers generally a little bolder than gen, especially in the minute counter at 3 o'clock and in the L swiss made L writing.

    - Possibly, the color of hands and cronograph counters' borders is a little too dark.

    Major flaws:

    - Totally different movement.

    - Case/bezel/buttons: SS instead of white gold.

  5. Dear Friends,

I have just read and signed the online petition:

"OBBLIGHIAMO LE MULTINAZIONALI DEL PETROLIO A MIGLIORARE L'AMBIENTE"

hosted on the web by PetitionOnline.com, the free online petition

    service, at:

    http://www.PetitionOnline.com/idrogeno/

I personally agree with what this petition says, and I think you might

agree, too. If you can spare a moment, please take a look, and consider

    signing yourself.

    Best wishes,

  6. Yes, I would not do your testing on anything that you cannot bear to lose or replace. The Bergeon Luminous Paste has the added benefit that it comes as a paste, you only need to thin it a bit with water (or food color or paint, if you want to add some patina). It is alot easier than mixing the other stuff, but either should be fine for testing purposes.

Thanks for the advice... but as I want to get skilled on the SL powder (also about mixing and diluting it, I mean) I think it may be worth to have a go directly with that type of thing.

(Actually, testing the Micro Mask is not my primaty target, it is just a secondary target).

BTW, and just for anyone's information: I ordered the Bergeon Paste (and paid for it) on eBay from FindingKing about three months ago, and they did not deliver.

  7. I would be interested in hearing your results with MicroMask masking. I do not know which watch you are testing with, but if it is a vintage model, the Bergeon Luminous Paste that Ofrei sells produces the most realistic looking glow for a vintage watch (with waning Tritium).

Actually I'm just going to make experiences on some low-end-rep dials that I got on my beach last year, and on some Jimmy's dials that are on their way to me.

I am not ready to risk any of my beloved-even-if-cheap reps right now, I am too much of a newbie on this.

The stuff that I got from Ofrei was not the luminous paste, but the A*F kit (luminows powder + varnish + thinner).

  8. Edit to Add: Just heard from Joshua and he's going to sort it out for me. Nice one Joshua!

I too may testimont that Joshua stands after his products (and customers) even months after the purchase.

I have a similar problem too. PO ultimate just received TODAY, looks gorgeous and runs smooth; I did unscrew the crown to position 2 for setting date, them to position 3 for setting time... after doing that 3 times, I was unable to rescrew crown guard to original position, it seems the screw of crown was broken off...

I'm considering to get a new original crown guard and case tube from otto frei, anyone can help me just saying if mod is possible and what are the appropiate crown and case tube? Maybe next ones?

Crown guard: Omega Crown 42184 Model 2209.50.00 Part number: 069 ST 42184

    http://www.ofrei.com/page_147.html

Case Tube: Omega Case Tube Model 2209.50.00 Part number: 090 ST 1232

    http://www.ofrei.com/page1115.html

    I'll need a new ETA-2824 stem too?

    Many thanks for your help!!!

Surely other members more expert in Omega than me (I am a PAM guy) will help more.

    Just, my humble guess is:

    - No guarantee that original Omega parts will fit your rep.

    - Still, if the original tube is a little thinner than yours, a little glue between the case and the tube will do the trick.

    - No need for a new stem.

  9. Thanks a lot!!

Its too bad the selection is so limited.

    You are welcome. :)

Actually, the selection is limited from the very source. The only left-handed models (that I am sure about, at least) that OP produced were the 022, 026, 056, 115, 117, 123, 217, 219.

With the exception of the 217 and Paul's 115, our dealers seem to have tried to satisfy the need for left-handed models by turning the 115 and 219 dial upside down...

  10. I just read this, several days after you posted it Mark. So I am also late in telling you:

    - Welcome back!

    - Take care!

    - Really thanks for the DW, my watchsmith mounted it in a breeze and it is stunning!

    - I'll wait that you feel better and are less overwhelmed with things to do before PMing you.

  11. @ssurfer

Funny...my heart skipped a few beats when I clicked on your reference sheet... :lol:B)

    Oh I see. :)

You might have been the 1st one to discover that the 1st April joke also makes those links not working. Even I was unaware of that until I read your post.

Well, I suppose that one can only wait that the joke is over, then the links should turn working again. :(

Anyway, that spreadsheet is a little out-of-date and bugged. I am currently working on a new release based on official OP catalogues that I only got after releasing that version.
