  1. I have a deployant on most of my straps, but it is less comfortable than a tang buckle. It leaves a depression on the underside of my wrist that some are in awe of lol.

That being said, I am used to it now so it doesn't bother me. Tangs bother me because they ruin my straps...

Now, if I could find a deployant for a 24/24 strap, I'd be all set.

  2. My Missus has an iBook and I have a G5 Tower. I don't understand these so-called software constraints. You have a need for CAD software or MS Project?

Oh, unless you mean Games. Yes, I have a Wintendo PC for that, too.

Yes... I'm an engineering consultant. Catia, SolidWorks, Ansys don't run on Macs, under emulation it would be painful. As soon as they do, I'll be there, but my missus will be there first :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  3. I am still waiting on AR coat and datewheel... I heard from a little birdie ;) that they should be done this week :Jumpy:

I just got a set of 188 hands from davidsen that look great, so those will go in also.

I have a custom strap being made for this watch that will look very cool.. I think you will really like this one Kostas :yeah:

  4. I have absolutely fallen in love with the 116520 after looking at these pics. I am not a rolex man, but this one caught my eye. The unfortunate thing is the small diameter. I tend to go for 44mm and up watches.

Any PAM lovers here? Care to comment on the size on Rolex watches?

I am sitting on the fence on this one...

For me, everything under 44mm seems too small, although the IWC GST is almost there, and the 42.5 Planet Ocean is pretty good size as well.

So far, no Rolex has been big enough for me... That, with the stigma attached to it, makes me steer clear of them.

  5. Paul used to post on the forum, and I don't think he attempted tactics such as these. I don't believe that this is the original Paul.

For someone who is so out of touch with these boards, I have reservations dealing with him. My feelings are fortified with these actions.

Between the several fine and trusted dealers here, who can supply just about the full range of high-end reps available to the world... Why even bother? is my question.

Paul (or more to the poit, whoever this is) doesn't give us the time of day... I think we should reciprocate the gesture.

  6. Two fleas from Detroit had an agreement to meet every winter in Miami for a vacation.

Last year when one flea gets to Miami, he's all blue, shivering and shaking, damn near froze to death!

The other flea asks him, "What the hell happened to you?"

The first flea says, "I rode down here from Wyandotte in the mustache of a guy on a Harley."

The other flea responds saying," That's the worst way to travel.

Try what I do. Go to the Metro airport bar. Have a few drinks.

While you are there, look for a nice stewardess.

Crawl up her leg and nestle in where it's warm and cozy. It's the best way to travel that I can think of."

The first flea thanks the second flea and says he will give it a try next winter.

A year goes by..... When the first flea shows up in Miami he is all blue, and shivering and shaking again. Damn near froze to death.

The second flea says, "Didn't you try what I told you?"

Yes," says the first flea, "I did exactly as you said...... I went to the Metro airport bar. I had a few drinks. Finally, this nice young stewardess came in. I crawled right up to her warm cozy spot. It was so nice and warm that I fell asleep immediately.

When I woke up, I was back in the mustache of the guy on the Harley."

  7. no other reason than to have it more accurate, thats all.

Pretty strange and dodgy reason IMHO...

It doesn't take a super-sleuth to figure out that with a closed case back, the only one you would be trying to fool would be someone who would be opening the case, and that would be either a jeweler for valuation or a purchaser checking if it is genuine. :cc_detective:

If you can come up with a better reason than that, I'd be suprised. :disgust:

  8. Pam, I have sent you numerous PMs and letting you know what my email address is, so that you can send some pics that way, but I have yet to hear from you. I have also asked you about the new price of the crowns at this time, and you have not reply back either. Can you reply back to me, or just let me know in the forum how much they cost? if you can send some pics to my email addy, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

i am also waiting for Pam's pp address and more photos, but also on the fence as I don't see a *huge* benefit yet.

    Eagerly awaiting reviews :Jumpy: .

  9. $60 for a crown seems a little steep...JMHO.

Ditto on that, although the price was higher yesterday, it may drop further :whistling:

I think that the finish on the sides of the teeth would be much better if they were broached, not milled... I believe this is how the gens are manufactured.

  10. Sorry, but that strap would not go on any of my watches the same as I would not hang fuzzy dice on my car's mirror...

That being said, I could never see the allure of the Burberry styles or a bright colored shirt with a sweater hung on the shoulders tied in the front either.... it makes me cringe :yuk:

  11. I find the discussion good :) but believes me...

you does not see differentiated if you have it in the hand

perhaps you talk about 0,05-0,1mm which you maybe see in a large photo.

I do not want to persuade :victory: but believes me simply the crown is good :yeah:

I think this discussion is great, and very necessary.

The problem above clearly shows one of the same problems we have with our rep crowns... too much bezel and rough finish between the 'teeth'

If these crowns are going to mimmick the genuine, they must at least have a smaller chamfer on the ends.

The teeth in the 029 photo look very very rough, they need to have more 'shine' to look genuine, the tool marks showing is going to make them look poor quality... and the crown is part of the watch that catches the eye first.
