  1. Hi

some poeple has misunderstand me... or may my english is poor

Here again my statement about angelus240:

this movement is a simple old vintage movement. Speciality of this movement is the 8 days power reserve in a 35mm small diameter. This is rare on vintage calibers. It is a nice looking movement (when new) but without decoration or any extra function... also it isn

  2. I've heard one account that separating the sandwich crystal is not terribly difficult... I think it was Lello who tried it.

I can confirm. Lello tried and succeeded.

Just heat (a flame) and the three pieces - the two crystal layers and the cyclops - came apart.

Then, quite a bit of glue and some attention not to get air bubbles between the two layers while reassembling.

I think I'm going to try the same on the next few days...

  3. Hi chieftang, just to let you know that the cyclopses arrived safe and sound into my hands.

At a first glance they are awesome. Thanks again for putting this together!

    More feedback to follow.

  4. god?

A three letter word word with no meaning.

    A superfluous hypothesis.

    Religion?

In the best case, an illusion.

In the worst case, a symptom of a(n even widespread) mental disorder.

(Yes, this post is offensive and ready for deletion... After all, it's just an old story).

@Phoband: Pho, I am amazed. Dawkins! You might have a bro-in-mind here.

    Just a little more angry.

  5. I've bought from BOB before, but i have heard his merino collection is actually pretty thcik and dont really want the cheap ones...

Apologies for my English, I was meaning 'inexpensive' rather than 'cheap'.

Bob's inexpensive straps sold on eBay are inexpensive exactly because they are thin, not because of poor quality.

Quality is not amazing, but not bad either. Quite fair quality for the price.

I got a Bob inexpensive shark strap and got disappointed because I love thick straps, but as you like thin straps maybe they are worth a look.

  6. This movement is a copy of a 2836-2...I was initially told it was a advertized as a 2824-2, so went along that line when I did up the post initially, forgetting that it was a 2836-2 one...

I have since corrected the title and all the text to 2836-2.

    Sorry for any confusion.

    RG

    Thanks for the clarification.

BTW, awesome post! (...as usual from you..)

  7. Guys - I am back and the wheels have arrived in my hands this morning. I am away for the weekend so will start shipping them next week. Please bear with me as it will take quite a while to sort, pack and address all of them so they will not all go at once.

No problem Mark, as long as I will get included in the very 1st batch :D

Out of joke, really no problem, just eager to enjoy the outcome of this awesome project and effort!

Thanks a lot, have a great week end!

  8. @longshot: nice find on the amanita muscaria, ls!

Frankly, this guy looks more pathethic/fool than criminal. I just wonder how his wife could withstand 8 years.

@kruzer00: does the "K" in "Pre-K" stand for Kinetic, Warren, or is there another pun (besides Pre-A/Pre-V) I am missing here? Does "Pre-K" mean something specific in English?

    (a dumb question, I suppose)
